It was me who mentioned the ulterior motive. I have had 3 returnees from Daybreaks so far. I fostered Max 2 years ago between Christmas and the new year after he was returned 2 days after Christmas, initially it was for only for a week, 2 years on he is still with us.He is such a gorgeous boy, I hope that as I said previously that there will be many hounds that will not be returned as their fosterers have fallen in love with them. Good luck houndies and Hoomans (please fail, please, please, as many as possible, it is totally worth it). Xxxx

Last Christmas mom and TC took grandma and me on a long long long drive to see uncle Robert, auntie Natasha, Rosa and Acer the boxer. Acer was really little so I put up with her for awhile before I started hiding to get away from her. Today who should turn up here! Only she is bigger and not quite so annoying..... She has tried to pinch my food, played with my toys and thought about getting in my basket, mom told her No! Tomorrow we are going to meet up with Barney in the park, wonder how many squirrels we can get if gang up on them together!?! Florence xxx

Sam (Star)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Star spent some time in the kitchen today, after showing an initial interest in some treats and stealing my bag and taking it to the back of the kitchen (that will teach me to not have it in the cupboard!), he settled down in a bed very quickly and lapped up fuss from everyone in the kitchen. Whoever ends up with this gorgeous boy will be so lucky, he's just so loveable!! 🙂 xx

Good luck Mary. Someone has suggested maybe there is an alternate motive for fostering over Xmas. We fostered a beautiful Grey 8 years ago who was struggling to find a forever home because of a health problem, We already had 3 hounds but after we had him for 6 weeks and no one came forward for him we knew he was joining "the gang" He went over Rainbow Bridge recently and we are devastated. He gave us such love and if it hadn't been for fostering we would have missed out on the joy he bought into our life. So I hope maybe this Christmas will bring some magic into other Greys lives. God Bless Ollie RIP

Over the Rainbow Bridge
This time last year, Casey (along with Benny and Foxy) was working as a therapy hound at HMP Littlehey. We have a set of his daily journals from his time in the prison which detailed his activity and food consumed. In the notes for Christmas Day 2016, the comment just said “Given Chew”. This Christmas is going to be so different for him - his presents are already stacking up, he’s going to enjoy all of the company over the next week and he is truly loved by us and our family. I really hope that some of our Christmas volunteers join us in the Failed Foster Parent club and give these hounds the life they deserve.

Our lovely little spotty dog is settling very well. She absolutely loves toys and empties the toy basket several times a day! Hasn't learnt how to put them back yet. 🙂 She also needs to look to see if there is anyone in the bed she wants before diving in; poor Skip has been squished more than once. Xx She really is a tiny little thing...after receiving a treat and finding Fletch standing in the way of her bed she decided the quickest route back was to just walk underneath him! :)))) Lots of love to my beautiful trio! Well, me was very puzzled Sunday. Mum was telling someone off but I looked round and there was only me there. It couldn’t have been me though because me hardly ever does anything wrong. Take Sunday, for example, Me went in the garden to see if there was any more of that funny white stuff so me could do some bouncing and some zoomies. Me couldn’t find any so me looked for something else to do. Me found this nice pink bag with very interesting smells (the sort that mum says “yuk” about when we is out walking). So me decided to take it in to show mum and me opened it up and put the things on the carpet so mum could see them properly (and me could have a good nose at them too). Well, mum came downstairs and somehow she didn’t seem too keen on the bag being indoors and the bits being on the carpet. Come to think of it, that’s when mum started telling someone off. Oh well, not to worry, couldn’t have been me. Mum says me’s getting a little friend to stay for Christmas so me looking forward to showing Kitty all the best places for smells but maybe not the pink bags though .......
