This is beautiful Moe’s first Christmas with us and he has Kitty from the kennels staying here with him which is wonderful. Like others, I am remembering all those who are running free together now. For me, it is my beloved Keano, be happy my precious boy. You changed my life.

Hello everyone, it’s Kitty here. I’m living with Moe for a while. He is very big and I think he’s wonderful even though he won’t let me get on the sofa with him yet. He says I can lie in his bed sometimes though (but I do really like the look of the sofa and snuggling up to him). Me and him went for a walk last night with Carol and Jonathan and I liked that. I stuck close to Moe cos it was a bit dark and lots of new smells. He didn’t seem to mind. Then Moe said it was time for bed which turns out to be one of his favourite times of day and he barked at me a few times cos he thought I wasn’t treating it with the seriousness it deserved. I got the message and settled down and so we both slept through the night until 6.20am when Moe said it was time to get up. He let me stand at the bottom of the stairs with him so we could wag our tails at mum when she came downstairs. Talking of tails, mine hasn’t stopped wagging since I got here and I like all the cuddles too. Happy Christmas everyone:)

Willow here, today is my ugh birthday. I should be really happy but I have just overheard a most distressing conversation. As many of you will know when one of us has a birthday or gotcha day we have a special treat of fish and chippies from the fish and chippy shop. Well, horror of horrors, I have just heard that is closed today. How dare they, it's my birthday, I would like to give them a piece of my mind, but there is not that much to go around, it would be a very short conversation indead! Oh, what's this? Panic over, I have just heard my mom say she will have to go and battle the Christmas shoppers and brave the supermarket (whatever that is) and buy us some fish and chippies for our dinner, although I am quite partial to mashed potato and oooh maybe some fishy cakes. I knew my mom wouldn't let us down. Have a great day all, and we are so happy to see the kennel dogs go out on Christmas foster, I hope that lots get lucky like us and get to stay with the lovely families that have taken them. Love Willow Pillow and the rest of the crew. Xxxxxxxx

Barney

Well the past couple of days have been great! My uncle, aunt, cousin and Acer the dog came to visit! It was sooo fun... I had a great time running around in the park with Florence and Acer. It was great to have another friend. My mum and dad keep playing weird music it’s something about a man called Santa Claus and frosty the snowman. I wonder who they are??? My family did a present swap at auntie Klaire’s house. I got a new toy!!! I did make a mess on the carpet though... I recycled Klaire’s toilet tube and wrapping paper, it was quite fun. I just wanted to say it’s great to see all my lovely friends at the kennels getting temporary homes and I’m happy all the staff get a break. Enjoy your Christmas and I hope you get spoilt like I do! Benny has settled right in. A run around the garden with Lottie followed by a short walk as soon as we got home and then a bite to eat. He soon emptied his dish. He's now fast asleep on the living room rug.

Skye looks such a sweet girl and sad she has had a stressful time being handed in, which seems worse because it's at Christmas time. However at least she was bought to Daybreaks the best place for Grey's to find a happy ending to their story. Fingers crossed. wishing her and Ruth and all the staff a Restful happy Christmas. Vera has had such an exciting first day away from the kennels. We brought her home after our stint helping out this morning, and bless her she still hasn't a clue about getting into the car!! On getting home she sniffed every square centimetre of the house (she has a very loud sniff!) and learned to do the stairs in about 3 seconds!! Bless her, we had a lovely walk down to the golf club and by the lakes this morning - she is understandably so inquisitive about absolutely everything she encounters, she can be a bit strong on her lead as she wants to see what is around her, but is always more relaxed on the return journey!! She ate all her dinner beautifully, and has had fun playing with the squeaky toy Michael bought for her from the kennels this morning. There is a fun loving, cheeky little girl just waiting to emerge - and we really hope that some time out of kennels and in a home environment will be of help to her in her search for a forever home. Considering all the new and overwhelming sights, smells and experiences she has come across today, she's made a brilliant start. xx
