Hi sorry sooo late in replying I was not looking properly on logging in not good with computers, lol. Ollie is fine and very well, he had a lovely Christmas plying with tennis balls and raggers. Did not get squeakers, didnt want my ears to suffer. Hope you all had a good Christmas & wishing you all a Happy New Year. He has found his match with our lurcher Tiggi whos 10months old ,shame I havent got a mansion it would be great to have more grey hounds.

From Stanley & Gemma. Good news from the New Forest. Gemma has now has her 6th Xmas with us and Stanley his 5th. It has flown by. Love them to bits. What a lovely best Xmas gift that all the greys have been found homes for the festive season. Lets alls keep our paws/fingers crossed that some will be very, very lucky. Auntie Ruth, Lady Victoria and all the helpers must all think they're dreaming. Well done Lady Victoria for adopting Maggie. She looks a bundle of fun, fun. Oh Oh Oh. How are they getting on. LOL from Stanley, Gemma, Tim & Sue and Anna (Spanner)xxx Wishing you all a good 2018.

Wow Mary seems you have been a good girl for the hols. You are still only a baby really, but learning fast. However, I think if you sleep with someone that counts as a commitment, but you need to get that in writing LOL

Can't believe we've had Mary for a week now! She's settled into family life really well. She responds to her name, understands what you are telling her (doesn't always do it the first time, but she knows!!) and she is very bright. She loves playing with toys with the kids, especially the squeaky ones. Her present opening on Christmas day was great, she knew exactly what to do. We left her for a couple of hours on Boxing Day and she didn't chew anything. She did unfortunately manage to knock her water bowl out of its stand and she had the kitchen towel off its hook (I don't think she was trying to wipe the mess up 🙂 ). She sleeps through the night albeit on the bed with Molly, me and my husband. Molly is a bed dog, so there was no keeping Mary downstairs. She is very good on her lead but gets very excited at the sight of other dogs. I think she only wants to play with them, but they have always been a little distance away. She is a really good family dog. x

Hiya Barney, just to let you know I think you and Flloyd need to get together on a play date as he also likes cardboard and now thinks he is the Andrex greyhound. Obviously my Christmas decorations were not adequate, so we had to have snow on the landing!!! We love hearing about your antics, you and Flloyd sound so much alike. Xxxx

Happy Late Christmas, from the Christmas Star! She is just lovely and helped with all the Christmas jobs and deliveries this year (she loves to get involved!). Her face is now nearly completely white, but she has boundless energy and cheek and shows no sign of slowing down! xxx

HAPPY LATE CHRISTMAS! So sorry for not writing sooner - been all caught up with the festivities! We were so sorry to miss the Xmas party - Charlie Mouse and Star were shattered after working on the Bournville Xmas festival roadshow the day before. It was a great event and they saw many friends as this is where we live. We were so pleased to hear we raised £115! Also sorry to have missed the Stratford Xmas walk again as I was in London. Such lovely news to see all the dogs went out on foster for Christmas (we would have had one - but 4 cats always proves to be a bit of a problem!) KATE!!! OMG!!! Cannot believe it! I remember when you were reticent about having 2! Spotty dog is just beautiful - so happy for you. Lyra makes me think of The Golden Compass! Cannot wait to meet her. Anyway, big love from Charlie Mouse - he is feeling his age now and likes shorter walks and bed! However, he now has a wonderful set of white goggles! xxx

Lyra had a check up with her vet today. Her paw is healing well but it will be another week before she can come for walks with us. 🙁 it has been "fun" trying to keep a bandage on her leg...she gets so excited playing with her toys it has flown across the room several times! :))) Fortunatley she is now able to wear a couple of socks instead. 🙂 Xxx

Well yesterday my mum and sister went out. They were out for a while. Apparently they were doing some shopping to get some bargains on Boxing Day. I’m very confused because I haven’t seen anyone having a boxing fight. All very weird. They came back with a full heavy bag of stuff for me. It was just long big chewy things. They are supposed to keep me entertained so I stopped chewing other things up. It can’t stop me! They should have just brought me cardboard, that keeps me way more entertained. The treats do look quite nice though... Today my mum and sister took me to Pets At Home! There were lots of people and it was very noisy. I was very scared. I knew I was safe when my sister was stroking me. A nice employee came over and stroked me she also gave me a treat so that made me a lot happier. My mum brought me lots more chewy treats. I also got a long stuffed toy. The only reason I got it was because I tried to steal the exactly the same one off my new friend Freddie the chocolate lab when we went over to their house on Christmas Day. I also tried to steal his chewy bone as well so I also got one of them for me too! I had a great Christmas and hope everyone else did too. Barney Xx

I'm so happy that my work pattern and Christmas have coincided so well this year, giving me a lovely long time off and meaning we could welcome Vera into our home for her Christmas holiday. She was such a good girl with our Chrismas Day visitors, she enjoyed our walks by the lakes and had such fun playing with her squeaky toys. She is bright as a button and very quick to learn and respond to you. Now her confidence has grown she has really come out of her shell and lets herself go! She has been clean in the house every day, and will happily take herself off to the sofa whilst we eat. It's a delight helping her to learn about the outside world, and this sweet and fun loving little girl is ready for her very own home now. Xx
