Met this stunning girl today and wow did she make an impact. She pinned my hand against the kennel bars while I gave her a fuss and she was determined she wasn't going to let me stop. She knows how to get your attention but as I have mentioned before, my little Gracie won't accept another hound, but if i were looking for more hounds then she definitely would be for me. I am going to be so envious of the family or person that gives this beauty her forever home.

We met the beautiful Mary today, she was so gentle and loving while we fussed her through her kennel bars. She really is a little stunner too.

Finally met the lovely Benny today. He loved the fuss and attention from me and my 12yr old son, he had a very waggy tail. He needs someone to take him home and give him the love and care and sofa he really deserves.

We met the gorgeous Zebedee today. Omg I am smitten. He really loved having a fuss and kept pawing me for more when I stopped. He will make a fantastic addition to someone's home. Please anyone looking to taking a grey consider this boy because my little miss Princess Gracie stroppy paws won't accept another hound.

Alfie (Jonny)

We visited the kennels today to take some tinnies, that's fish not alcohol and had our Ellie and Gracie's claws clipped by the lovely Lisa. We met Jonny who loved the fuss and attention from me, my 12 yr old son and Steve but apparently, Jonny doesn't like men well that didn't show with Steve. One thing I did notice, Jonny had his eyes fixed on Lisa while she clipped our girls claws. I think he is smitten bless him.

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Today I returned to my home and I am loved again by my family! I don’t know if I should forgive them for leaving me with my auntie and going on a cruise but it was really nice to spend time with Florence and get spoiled! It was a nice mini holiday of my own. At Auntie Klaire’s I learnt how to open the pet gate, sleep in a bedroom, take the whole roll of poop bags and run off with them. It was a fun holiday and I want to thank Aunite Klaire for looking after me well and giving me so much fun! When my daddy and sister arrived to pick me up I haven’t been so happy in my life! I was still sad they left me in first place so at first I backed off to show I was angry and then jump all over the place afterwards. While my family was away they brought me a t-shirt that says “daddy’s boy” I guess I am in a way! When we got in the car and about to drive away my family realised they forgot my brother Bert the hamster! They were too busy fussing over me that they completely forgot to pick him up! Hehe at least I know I had a lot of attention. Thank you Florence for the fun and have a good time in Wales I will miss you! Barney xx

Ah sweetie, I'm so glad you had a lovely time at the park with Jeremy. We are all at a loss as to why you have been with us for so long. You've had so many lady kennel companions come and go, your latest friend, the very busy and bouncy little Maggy, loves to lie with her head resting on your bottom for a snooze!! You are a very calming influence and such a gentle soul - surely your forever home is out there. I've had to get a new phone, so I will be in to take a new photo of you for my screensaver, maybe the change will do the trick!! In the meantime poppet, have a big cuddle - you deserve it. xx

‘Why is Nifty still here???’ I said to Kate this afternoon as N and I returned from a walk in a park. ‘I don’t know!’ she said, ‘he’s such a lovely boy!’. Our afternoon out together started with an enthusiastic Nifty leaping into the back of my car - normally this would not be a problem but I do not have a back to my car as it is a coupe. Nevertheless, we set off for Elmdon Park and N settled down quickly and enjoyed the short ride. It turned out to be a most enjoyable walk with a very handsome hound. Nifty had a good sniff at everything and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Nature Park. He was very intrigued by other breeds but nothing suggested to me that he would have any issues freely mixing with other dogs. If anything he seemed to want and go and play with them. For those of us fortunate to mingle with the Daybreaks hounds on a regular basis, we all learn to recognise the individual qualities of the kennel denizens and regularly question why they have been overlooked by prospective adopters. Nifty is a glorious hound and a magnificent example of his breed. He really, really, really should have his own sofa by now.

Well, Tommy is certainly an impressive boy. Looks like he has a black eye from fighting and it wouldn’t me if he had. I saw him from a distance while driving up the Lane and he certainly cuts a fine figure. Nice and friendly too.
