I guess it was a little warmer today and it is definitely getting lighter in the evenings! Wonderful! :)) We were quite low on volunteers today. Everyone had a walk or a play in the sand run this morning. Many thanks to our DofE strudents for looking after our residents and ensuring they all had their teeth cleaned and a nice groom. Many thanks to everyone who dropped off donations of bedding and toys. River managed to sneak some of the toys out of the bags and through the bars of the run. He was very happily playing with them! Do hope it won't be long before his forever home comes along. He is a great lad. Xxx Gorgeous Cora came in with her Dad this afternoon looking for a friend. Cora is such a lovely girl who liked everyone! She is coming back for a second look tomorrow. :)) Thanks so much to Caroline for her help this afternoon and to Shirley for helping me with feeding. Very grateful. :)) Xxx

When I arrived this morning Angie asked me to take a look at Truf Truf...she had unfortunately had a little accident in her kennel overnight, managed to spread it over everything, including herself and was in much need of a wash! Poor little lass. Patric and Jess popped her in the bath and she was soon looking beautiful again. Xxx

Yesterday I dropped Amelia back to the kennels… she is so happy and playful and only having been speyed the day before, she was very bright and managed the stairs! She was very interested in Mrs Chuck though! For such a little lady, she has got the appetite of a horse! As we are away this weekend visiting family I dropped Herbie at the kennels yesterday also…. It is ridiculous how upset I was to leave him as he didn’t want to go in his kennel…. Tina to the rescue however and she will pick him up today- he needs as little stress as possible with him being so underweight. His anaemia is sorted but with low folate and B12 levels he is now starting to gain weight slowly x

Daybreaks Diary!

We missed Angie today, hope she had a nice day off. Thanks to Laura and Kerry for braving the cutting of Coopers nails, the last time he had them done he was spinning, jumping generally not a happy boy. Today, however, he didn't make a sound! He stood beautifully and let Laura cut them whilst I held the Biting end and Kerry had the rear end in case he decided to try and back off. He was such a good boy, little Peanut also had hers done. All inmates had morning and afternoon walks, in between walks they all had their teeth cleaned and were groomed, thanks to Matt and Karla for doing that. Liz_Beth and Amy took Rocky and Steve to the park for a change of scene, thanks so much to them. It has started to get very chilly this afternoon, all of the inmates have their fleecy coats on with the under bed heating and wall heaters on. I have just checked the cameras and they are all nice and quiet and look very warm and comfy. Cooper, Peanut and myself will soon be heading off home to get warm and comfy!!

The absolutely gorgeous little Amelia came home with me following her Spey at Fivelands vets. At the kennels every morning when we open up, we dread her kennel as she is the only one who is messy!!! A toilet opportunity middle of the night and just now has meant she has been totally clean. She is adorable happy little girl x

Little Amelia had her Neutering operation today. She was such a good girl. She travelled really well to the vets and greeted everyone with a waggy tail and a cuddle. :)) Richard very kindly collected her for us, he said all the staff had fallen for her charms. Xxx. Such a sweet girl. Xxx She has gone home with Ruth tonight. Hope it won't be long before she finds her forever home. Xxx

Firstly thanks to everyone for their help today. Most of the Wednesday walkers were back so all dogs that could go on a walk did this morning. This afternoon was a mix of walks and sand run. We had two new arrivals, confusingly another Magic, now Magic 2 and Truff Truff!! Both are gorgeous, to avoid confusion I wanted to call Magic 2 Houdini and Truff Truff Truffle, Truffs trainer said she knows her pet name so I left it at that. So very sorry for any confusion caused by having two Magics! Sorry Rob T!! Laura had nail clippings and Pampers today, we did have an issue with the water supply to the shower but late this afternoon I managed to find the problem so normal service is now resumed. If you would like to book for nail clipping, mini pamper or full pamper why not call Laura direct on 07960 344252. Lovely Lorna went home today with a new wardrobe, she is such a happy little girl, wishing her and her family many happy times ahead. She was an anniversary present for her new mom!!!
