Happy 5th Birthday to our gorgeous Minnie Moose! Can’t believe it’s been nearly 8 months since she came home - she is still living life at 100 miles an hour, wanting to be everywhere and do everything all at the same time!!! She really benefitted from her training classes, as did Michael and I, and she is such a clever little Miss - she delights in playing games, a particular favourite is the “toast game” we play after our morning walk ( we all like a bit of toast!). Her reactivity is still a work in progress but we’re getting there, and she is much more relaxed around strangers now - time, patience and TLC work wonders for these beautiful creatures and they are worth it. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Yet another bitterly cold day, many thanks to everyone who braved the cold and made sure that the inmates had both morning and afternoon walks. Thanks to Dave for having another tidy up. The sand run was very busy despite the cold. We had a viewing booked to find the very handsome Ronnie a friend. The lovely family were initially interested in Amelia, Ronnie had other ideas so Bobbie was reserved and has gone out on trial, fingers crossed all goes well. Timmy came in for food and nail cutting, we were warned that he could be a big baby, not at all, he was very brave and well behaved. Rob T came to shoot some more footage and take photos for his YouTube site. Today was the turn of lovely River, he will be back to get more footage over the next couple of weeks. For those who have not seen the video of Rocky, click on his page on our website and follow the link, it's really good. Thankfully it looks like it is going get a little warmer, I for one hope it is!!

It was a busy day today.... Gorgeous Sally was reserved. :)) She will have a very handsome Greyhound brother to share her life with. Xxx We also had another family come to meet the dogs. Thanks so much to Jess for showing everyone around. 🙂 Xxx We have another viewing tomorrow, so keep,your fingers crossed another lucky girl or boy will soon have their forever home. Xx Laura had pampers and nail clippings, it was great to see some ex Daybreaks residents and their families. :)) Xxx Many thanks to all our Saturday regular walkers and volunteers. It was a very chilly day! So grateful for their help. Xxx As usual thanks to my wonderful Skip for just being there and supervising....mostly through closed eyes!:) He was joined in the office by his lovely nephew Koda. :)) Xxx

What a lovely video. And absolutely, no dry eyes here! Miss my boy beyond belief, taken too soon from me. The world isn't the same without him. Hoping one day he'll send me another grey to help fill the void he left, but as my mom always says 'there'll never be another jet' and there won't but hopefully the one he sends will be almost as good! Xxx

Dinner was decided......minced beef hotpot, devoured in seconds!!!! Next birthday is Cooper on Monday, you would think I would have dogs that I could space special days throughout the year, no not me!!!
