Another great walk with this super hound. He does come across as nervous to start with but really gets stuck in to his walks. Any lack of confidence at the moment will soon evaporate when he's been in a loving home for a short while. This weekend last year, we were heading off to Antigua for a couple of weeks but as we have not been in a position to do that this year, what better could you do than to spend time with a couple of wonderful hounds like Snap and Tina. Last week I summarised Snap's post saying that he is a top hound. He is that indeed and I can't recommend him enough to any prospective adopters.

Tina and Snap came to the park with us today. It was her first trip to Elmdon Park and they were both a pleasure to be with. It was all very exciting to her and given the chance, would have given some of the squirrels a very hard time! She travelled well in the car despite being squashed on the back seat with Snap. It always enjoyable to observe their reactions on the first visit to the park and Tina seemed to enjoy the visit more than any other hound that I have taken so far. People and dogs were interesting to her but I suspect that she may have had a bit of a scrape with one of the swans by the lake given the chance. Tina is my favourite resident at DB at the moment, closely followed by Snap. They obviously get on well together and would make an ideal pair to rehome together.

Last week, both Snap and Tina thoroughly abused me in pursuit of savory morsels. I found myself pummeled by the two of them into surrendering a small bag of biscuits and treats. Quite shameful. Hoping to repeat the experience tomorrow, I have baked a batch of sardine & oat biscuits which will be dispensed after morning walks. There are plenty to go around.

Happy 5th Birthday to our beautiful Belle. This little girl came to us so scared and unsure of the world. She still has her moments but on the whole now loves to play and adores her walks. Such a sweet, elegant & graceful girl. She melts my heart. Xx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Teddy and Peggy are coming back into the Trust on Saturday. They have been 'coming soon' for a long while but understandably their owner didn't want to part with them but sadly due to personal circumstances they have to be rehomed. We really do not want them to come back into kennels so hopefully we can find them a home (preferably) asap or a foster home.
