Thanks everyone for your kind hints n tips. Fudge is settling well after we borrowed the crate from the centre, he seems to settle much better in there. It's just under a week since we had him and he is now going most nights until 5.30. We only had two wee's the first day after being excited and after about 4-5 times of being told 'no' about getting on the settees (purely cos there's not room!..lol) he hasn't tried since even when in the lounge on his own. His first encounter with a long mirror was interesting - Obviously wasn't happy with his hair that day!:).....He's our gentle giant and we're hoping he continues to settle well into our family and routine as we all settle back to work next week.

Met the lovely Jimmie on the Stratford walk today he is even more handsome in the flesh, behaved beautifully with my two and loved all the fuss and attention all he needs now is a sofa to call his own.

It's made our day.. having walked the beautiful Claire today at Stratford..to see she is now RESERVED ! She's a gorgeous little girl- timid at first but relaxed during her walk and loves her fuss and reassurance Once settled in a home where she can gain her confidence at her own pace she's going to make a fantastic companion Someone has got themselves a real gem Well done poppet and good luck :)) x

Very pleased for pretty girl Claire who we met on the Stratford walk this morning. That was fast work Daybreaks. She took a shine to Ollie and Reggie, walking alongside them and sniffing their noses. A lovely dog! Have a happy life Claire X X X

Jato came on the Stratford walk today and was absolutely fine. She walked with Angel and seemed quite happy with all that went on. She's a fantastic small greyhound and just needs time to let her relax and come out of her shell. 🙂

Today we had the pleasure of taking Claire on the Stratford walk. At first she was a bit timid after all this was her first big gathering with lots of people and hounds and a big venture into the big wide post racing world. As the walk started Claire slowly began to settle and it was lovely to see her tail go from fully under her body to relaxing down. She walks lovely on the lead,no problems with other breeds of dog she met only brief curiosity then on with the walk. One thing for sure she loves her cuddles and her food! Claire would benefit from being homed with another dog who she could gain confidence from and learn to relax and enjoy life. We are sure then she would become a lovely loyal companion for some lucky family as she is a very pretty girl xx
