I took the lovely Cally to Elmdon park yesterday for a few hours. She was no trouble in the car and walked really well with my grey. She was quite excited by all the other dogs in the park but showed no aggression whatsoever, just curiosity! She's a really friendly girl, who loves a bit of attention.

Ohh Glen, why are you still in the kennel? We met you with Charlotte (our greyhound) and of course you were very excited. We enjoyed a couple of nice walkies with you and Charlotte and you are simply a gentleman. Whilst at first very excited you soon were very nice, calm and interacting with human and non human. There is no reason for you to still be in the kennel. I think Charlotte wanted to take you home with us. I certainly would like to but my wife was the sensible one today and suggested we wait till the baby has arrived. Otherwise I would be on the phone to our landlord and Ruth to make arrangements. I hope you will find your forever home soon. People take your time to get to know this lovely chap. He maybe every exited at first but once he knows you is such a loving, gentle and calm dog.

It is quite true what Stormin says about Glen. He is the most loving, brilliant dog. Yes, he gets a bit excited when you first go in his kennel (I am now always prepared for his front legs wrapping round my shoulders and giving me a big hug!) but once he is out and on his walks he calms right down and behaves like a perfect gentleman. He will make the most perfect companion for some lucky person/s. Just hope that happens very soon. sending him a cuddle today. xx

    I’m Homed

There can be times when it is difficult not to begin to sound like a stuck record and keep playing "the same old tune" over and over again. However having taken Glen to todays awareness at Dobbies Garden Centre in Atherstone I must repeat once again as I have done several times before that he has proved to be the most wonderful dog you could possibly wish to take out. Everyone he met today fell in love with his happy welcoming nature that he always shows. He just loves everyone he meets (human and canine) Great with very small children too. I can only presume the reason that after 2 months at Daybreaks he has not yet found his permanent home is that his initial boisterous excited reaction when he first leaves his kennel has made potential 'homers' wary of giving him that home. Please do not be put off if thinking of offering him a home by this reaction as within a minute or two his excitement subsides and his fun loving friendly nature can be seen. He walks on the lead and travels in the car perfectly.
