Hi, my name is Mary! I'm starting my "Animal Management course" in September. I offered to help volunteer today for a few hours. On behalf of Ruth I'm appealing for an urgent foster home for River. Molly

Molly is a shy but very lovely little girl. She went in the small part of the sand run with a visiting Greyhound today and was so happy to follow her around. Having a friend with her gave her such confidence and it was great to see her relaxing and playing. Xxx Molly would love a home with another dog who she could share her life with. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

A busy day, this morning lovely Topsy and her family came to find a friend for her. She met several of our residents and liked all of them! Eventually it was Topsy who decided Cassie was the one for her. :)) This afternoon we had another viewing which resulted in seeing gorgeous Diva Reserved. Xxx Thanks to Matt and the young people he supports for carrying out all the health checks today and helping to walk the dogs. We are so grateful to all of our volunteers for their help today. Xxx When I came to leave the kennels tonight...I couldn't find my Skip anywhere! I knew he couldn't have escaped and was there somewhere. I went around opening the kennels, the kitchen, the treatment room but no sign. When I unlocked the office I eventually found him on the bed under the desk, totally oblivious I was looking for him! :)) Bless him. Xxx

Prince

Very sadly due to a change of personal circumstances for the couple who adopted them, Prince and Bocko have been returned to the kennels today. The couple are devastated to have had to make this decision. Prince is a big lad and sometimes strong on the lead. He is house trained. Both boys are adorable. We are very sad for all concerned. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks to everyone for their help today. It was a little cooler so all the inmates had both morning and afternoon walks. It did get a little warmer as the day went on but the dogs were kept cool. We have a few real characters in at the moment, they are really cheeky and make us smile. Zavi and Tommy trying to pull items though the feeding run bars, Con with his 'I'm not coming out of my Kennel without a belly rub'. Hoping to see some red and green signs this week, especially for Cristina. Xx

Monty (Chase)

We have had Monty over 12 months now and the change from being a scared of the big world and other dogs to if you are going out I am coming with you. He does suffer from separation anxiety a little thing we have learned to accept and lucky to be able to work around. He loves plenty of love and fuss and gives a lot back in return. He loves his time at the caravan and has his favourite stopping off places in Burnham on sea. Can’t get past the pet shop for his treat from the girls behind the counter and his doggy ice cream from the sea front. We all love him and he loves us. So happy that he decided to stay with us after the loss of beloved Russ. Life does work in mysterious ways.

Daybreaks Diary!

I was greeted by a very happy Minnie when I arrived this morning. :)). She was supervising feeding and cleaning by her lovley Mum and Dad, Angie and Michael. Xxx It was a much cooler day and the dogs enjoyed morning and afternoon walks. New arrival Cassie was very excited to go out and explore her new surroundings :)) Zavi enjoyed a trip to the park with Kitty and her family. We had several customers for nail clipping including Bobby and his brother Alfie and the very handsome Jag. Xxx Thanks so much to everyone who helped out at the kennels today. Thank you Caroline for coming in this afternoon to help with feeding. Xxx
