Daybreaks Diary!

Oh my word, it was so very hot today, much too hot for the dogs to go out. So it was grooming, teeth cleaning and then the paddling pools came out. All dogs came and had a cool down in rotation. The big fans were put into the kennel blocks in an attempt to keep the inmates cool. Thanks so much to everyone for their help today, it wasn't just uncomfortable for the hounds but to the hoomans too. It's going to get hotter as the week goes on. Please remember to walk your dogs early before it starts to get hot and late evening when it gets cooler.

Mikey

Took Mikey out for a trip to the Warwickshire Lavender fields today and he has not changed a bit since we last took him out. He travelled really well in the car and got in and out on cue. He came across lots of dogs, children and people and was happy to be fussed by everyone. Mikey was so excited to wander through the rows of lavender and didn’t want to leave! He’s such a darling boy and his behaviour was impeccable as he always is when we take him out. We look forward to taking him out again x

I have had some conversations with the hoomans today. I said ‘wooooooooooo woof’ and if you’re not sure what that means it’s ‘can I have a treat please’. As you’re saying it though you need to look at the hooman then where the treats are and repeat. Then put the cutest face on. Mine was resting my head on the stool and giving the cute eye.
