Can't believe Elm is still waiting for her forever home. Her sister Alder went home on Thursday and sister Tulip goes home next week. Elm is a very sweet girl. Hope she doesn't have to wait too much longer. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Another very chilly day! Still waiting for spring!! 🙂 Lots going on today, Polly was unreserved and then found herself reserved again straight away! Xxx Laura had lots of pampers and nail clippings, it was great to see all the girls and boys and their owners. Xxx Erik came in and held another of his free consultation sessions. If you have a problem with your dog, Greyhound or other breed, Erik will be coming in again on the 18th May. Please give us a call to make an appointment. :)) Robbie came in to see us, paperwork completed and homing photo taken! He looks great and is very content. Xxx SO very happy for him! Xxx Thank you so much to everyone who brought in bedding, treats and Raffle prizes . We are very grateful. Xxx Thanks so much to all of our lovely volunteers, so grateful to Angie and Michael for all their help first thing and to everyone for your help throughout the day. Most of the walks were completed without getting wet!! :)) It was a very busy day! 🙂 Xxx

Over the Rainbow Bridge
This week, we said goodbye to the one and only Oscar. He was such a special boy and had my heart from the moment I saw him. He had a huge personality. He was fun, daft, and such a sweet, sensitive soul. There are so many things that inspired Insight Hounds, but without a doubt, Oscar was the biggest. We have so many memories to cherish, and we will forever be grateful he was such a big part of our family. I hope he is with the old gang running around with his favourite duck toy.

Daybreaks Diary!

What a busy day yesterday was! Thankfully I had a great team of volunteers helping with Louisa, Michael, Carol, Mary, Ben and Alison. After cleaning and feeding the first phone call I had was unfortunately Tara being unreserved. River then came in for her 4 week check following her homing last month. She has put on weight and looks amazing. It’s great to see and hear she is doing so well. We then had a viewing and the gorgeous Tara was reserved. I knew it wouldn’t take long as he is so very handsome! The family who came the day before to reserve Danny came back and reserved Polly as well. Danny and Polly got on great together in the run which was lovely to see. We had several delivery’s of bedding, and also electrical equipment for our recycling and pilchards a plenty brought in by Cath one of our volunteers who also brought her friend who adopted Truf Truf a while ago…. It was wonderful to hear she is doing great . In between corn hulling, food selling and nail trimming I spent lots of time with our new volunteers who were a great help with walks and feeding. Hollie who is a vet student popped in to say hello and helped…. We are looking forward to her qualifying in three years time! What a buzzing day!

Skipper (Sailor)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Just to prove that even though he is thirteen Skip can still be a cheeky boy! He decided to run from one kitchen to the other at the kennels today, not once but three times in quick succession which, of course made the residents waiting for their dinner out in the runs bark at him! He knew exactly what he was doing and we are sure he had a smile on his face the whole time. Bless him! :)) Xxx
