Thanks for info. While our greys are racing their welfare is extremely important to us. When they retire nothing changes regarding their welfare that is why we put them in Daybreaks Kennels because we know Ruth and everyone else are so dedicated. We all shed a tear when we have to retire them and smile with happiness when they get a lovely home, only sorry we could not have kept them at home ourselves - if we did we would have 30 by now!!! Hi Muddypaws, yep... I've been rumbled. I do only get 1 official electronic cuddle per day, but I write to the beauties at Daybreaks in the hope that some kind soul will read their message to them and they'll be told that they've been sent a big cuddle from Aunty Tash. Nothing can ever match up to the real thing though can it, so when we're not able to get to the kennels, I'm afraid I get rather greedy and dish out far more than my daily quota! I used to be quite sane, but having lived with Rosie for nearly 10 months has sent me greyhound barmy - and I wouldn't change it for the world!! Tx

Thank you so much to everyone for all your good wishes. When Brian and I popped into the kennels on Christmas Eve, little did I know I would have my heart stolen. Delilah is beautiful and the best Christmas present ever. X

Solo is back at the kennels today. She was understanbly a little quiet after having her neutering operation. She has also had a dental and had to have a few teeth removed. She is sharing a kennel with a nice lad to keep her company. Xxx

Melysa - We're over in deepest, darkest Wolverhampton but we'll have to see how things pan out as we have already planned to help out at kennels a few times in the New Year. We will also need to bring Kylie up to get her nails clipped from time to time as her front nails are a bit brittle and we don't want to use our grinder on them so she will be heading up to kennels for that anyway. I wouldn't want to commit to anything while we're going through all this icy weather but maybe when it gets it out of it's system and warms up a bit, we could sort something - all the better if we were able to bring our Ben and Lucy too; for one thing, Kylie will probably not panic so much (presumably thinking she's being returned) if Ben and Lucy are with her. I can't say I'm that familiar with your area but if we could sort somewhere when the weather's better where parking is ok and we can have a trundle round, perhaps some or all of the Five could be reunited - and also meet all the new brothers and sisters too. Greys love to see their own generally don't they?!

Kylie

Well we are hoping to come and help at kennels a few times next year and we will be bringing Kylie up from time to time to get her nails clipped as they are a bit brittle at the front so we don't want to use our nail grinder on them. Maybe they will see each other at some point. Kylie seems fine with our two and quite often gets up on the other end of the sofa to Lucy (after we made her realise Lucy didn't really like being sat on!). Even Ben who used to grumble if Lucy tried to get up on the sofa with him has now accepted Kylie will join him on there from time to time. I tend to walk Kylie and Lucy together as they're closer in size and Kylie eats from the same double bowl stand as Ben. Kylie is also very clean and we have not had a single accident in over 8 weeks - to think I thought she may have a weak bladder being older! She is also very interested in the kitchen and even more so, in smells and sights that come out of the kitchen. I'm quite certain she'd love her previous owner back but I think she's happy enough with her current lot and that's all we could really hope for.

Hi Tash. Just wondering why you seem to get at least three electronic cuddles per day....when everyone else only gets one !!! Is this some kind of special privilege....or....are you telling porkies to the boys and girls in order to gain their affections. Bet you thought that no-one would notice !!! Ha Ha, you have been rumbled !!! lol. Don't worry....l wont tell them if you don't. :-)))

Hi Tommo, how lucky were we earlier today when you arrived back from your trip to Brueton Park with 'Uncle Norman' then quite happily spent time with us and our little Rosie (just to see how you'd get on together). You were the perfect gent, taking it all in your stride, giving lots of cuddles to us we can't wait to see you again on Friday morning. To us you're a little stunner and that extra grey around your nose makes you 'distinguished'. Although we had loads with you today, we're sending you another big electronic cuddle tonight gorgeous.
