Arthur, you are a very, very special boy and we love you dearly, even if you did put one of my wellington boots and a croc on the sofa whilst we were out at lunch. And you have ragged a bed to death. His fluffs on his bum are growing back and are like baby hair, much longer than his normal coat. Currently upside down on the big sofa with his designer tail wagging from time to time. He really is adorable.

Muddy Paws, Justine & Andy, Ann & the Bartley Green Crew is there any chance we could meet up sometime - altogether or individually? I would so love Ash to see his old friends again. I am Bournville/Cotteridge way, but go to training & to most of the walks & Daybreaks events & would be happy to drive out somewhere x

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Wendy! Don't worry, Ash is a really big dog, bigger than Charlie! I feed Charlie 2 cups of burns for breakfast, 1 for lunch & 2 for dinner & he has Yumega oil everyday for his coat! He also has occasional chews & bits of fish, chicken, bread or cheese sprinkled on his meals every now & then x

Jed
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Having read the great news on Ash being up to 28 kilos I'm now a little worried Jed is only 28.7 and has always been around this weight, he. Is having said that small for a boy can anyone give me an indication as to what to monitor. I can feel his ribs if I run my hands along but they don't protrude and his pin bones are well covered. Any advice would be appreciated, he is on Burns with sardines added and does get plenty of treats.

Kylie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Justine & Andy. l do agree. Older greys are such a delight to look after. They are so loving and appreciative. Louis is no trouble at all to care for. He is like a comfy pair of slippers, he just fits so well !!! He has been there, done it, and has got the T- Shirt. He was very reserved at first, which is understandable, but we are now starting to see his personality re-emerge, and he is a lovely little character. Even if someone had offered him a home, we could not have seen him uprooted again, as he had settled so well with us, and l expect that is how you felt about Kylie. l do wonder sometimes if he misses his old pals...but he seems to have accepted us and our other dogs as his family now. l just love a happy ending !!! XXX.

Fabulous news, if you need more Neem Bark please let me know ... I've seen it heal some nasty bleeding and sore gums and even if it wasn't the Neem Bark it won't harm and might help as it's anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and doesn't taste of anything so shouldn't put him off food. Good luck,he's lovely 🙂

I totally agree Mrs Muddypaws!! We had our Lucy at just over 2 and a half years and Ben seven weeks later at just about 3 and a half years old and have had them for just over 4 and a half years now. The older they get, the more I have an affection for the older dogs. The girl we fostered last year was almost 9 and now of course, we have Kylie who is early 9 and a half. All are beautiful, loving dogs and have plenty of energy and character. I definitely would also encourage others to give the older houndies a chance.
