Charlotte
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Let me do an update on Charlotte. At the vet she was a hit, she is a bit of a femme fatal, everyone loves her and she greets people with joy and love. She is doing really well with going up the stairs but going down she prefers that we walk next to her for that little bit of support and feeling secure. She is walking really well on the lead and it is so fun to see that she gets really excited to go out for her walks in the morning and evening, we are now able to walk longer about 30 minutes each time. 2 days ago Charlotte saw a Pheasant for the first time was staring at it for some time and then the Pheasant had enough and flew away. We also learned something, Charlotte growled a couple of times at us when she was with us on the sofa. We were not sure why this was did some research turns out that Greys sleep with eyes open and can get startled when sleeping, and therefore growl or even snap normal Grey behaviour which we have to take account of. Found a really interesting website for any one new to greyhounds https://greytarticles.wordpress.com/adopters-treasure-chest/what-is-my-greyhound-trying-to-tell-me. Charlotte is now happily sleeping with a full belly. She is nicely settling in and we are all learning and finding our way, but the main thing is that she is such a joy having around and I can only hope we are equally giving her the same joy.

Thank you for your response. I will call tomorrow and see what Ruth suggests. Just want to do the best for him. Pam you gave us Monty's house collar when we first had him as his was rubbing him. He was originally called Danny. Minnie is so settled and makes us laugh with her funny ways. We are so glad we adopted her. Will let you know how Monty gets on.

Ash
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Melysa. All being well we are planning to come to kennels next weekend. Due to distance, it's not something we can do more than a couple of weekends a month unfortunately. We are also a little concerned that when we took Kylie last weekend to sort her adoption paperwork, she was crying more on the way there, presumably at being separated from Ben and Lucy than the previous time so we would prefer that all three came along. It may also be worth baring in mind where would be best to meet as we've got three greys ourselves so we may end up in the way in the main part of the kennels? It would be good if something could be sorted out though.I'd like to see how Ash is myself and it would be especially lovely if Louis could make it as he is actually Kylie's brother. We hope Ash is doing ok x

Hi. Our other grey,Monty, is limping and vet said it was a corn. She said it can be removed under anaesthetic but I am reluctant as he is 8 and prefer to see if there is an alternative. Does anybody know of a less invasive procedure? Thanks Helen
