It is a terrible shame, BUT.. its far better for him to wait a little longer and get the Perfect forever home, I hate reading about some returnees, (not the ones through ill health). Hoping your perfect home is just around the corner khani.

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

The gorgeous Tommo, along with his kennel mate Ruthy, gave me a helping paw with making his bed this morning! He & Ruthy took it in turns to either jump on the bed whilst I was trying to take the covers off, or sit on the pile of clean bedding waiting to go on!! He is the most beautiful boy with a handsome grey face, and he loves a cuddle. Big kisses to you sweetheart and thanks for your help!! xxxxxx

Ruthy and her handsome kennel mate Tommo were helping me make their beds this morning! They thought it was great fun to jump up on the bed while I was trying to get the covers off, or sit on the pile of fresh bedding so I couldn't put it on!! Ruthy really is a sweetheart - as well as being playful and having fun she also likes to sit so beautifully just watching the world go by. Big cuddles for you, and thank you for all your assistance! xxx

Hi Milo'sMum - I will today - every time we tried to take a photo of him on his bed looking all cosy, he would come to the bars.... desperate to come out - after all, he had been through it with being castrated and arriving someone new and strange. Don't worry - he is being pampered lots as he is adorable.

Instead of Plaque Off which is £13ish for 60 grams I bought a 2kg tub of Gold Label Seaweed for horses & Dogs from Solihull Riding School at last years show.....I ran out 2 weeks before this years show I was recommended to use this instead of Plaque Off by a vet 33 x 60 grams is 1980 grams, so just under the 2kg....coming to £429.00!!! I paid £7.50 for the 2kg tub last year! (couldn't buy it from there this year as they were out of stock) I got it from ebay this time.....the place I got it from is out of stock, but this is it (more expensive than it was at the Riding school shop) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gold-Label-Seaweed-x-2-Kg-/131340704706?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e94841bc2

Hi I was recommended Plaque Off which you sprinkle in their food. You only need a small amount, as instructions. Its not cheap but a smallish tub lasts our 2 a couple of months. We have been using it for over 6 months daily and we have definitely seen an improvement. Pam

What a lovely lad Saddle is! He spent most of the day in the kitchen and really wanted to help make the peanut butter sandwiches! Despite the sad look he has in his photo he is a very happy boy! Xxx

Hi Lisa, try Logic oral hygiene gel - though Robbie doesn't like it (amazing!) Dreams and Tom both always licked off my hand. It might help a bit if you can't get to check. xx

Does anyone know how i can clean Torres teeth, which doesnt involve brushing / scraping or spraying with gel etc as he growls and bites me and means it when i go anywhere near his mouth. He wont even let me look properly without growling at me. ? He has Dental Flex etc. xxxx

  • Kylie

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

We've managed two daylight walks today - NO fireworks -and have walked little Kylie further than we have dared previously. She trotted along happily with us all and was no problem. When we got back, Ben (8) collapsed in the kitchen and she just stood there grinning and wagging her tail. She may be 9 but she's got some energy. She keeps pace with our Lucy who is 7 and who loves walking. Today is also the first day that Kylie's eaten pretty much all the food we have offered her - albeit with a little wet food tempter - and this evening she managed to clear her bowl! I imagine that's what a proud parent feels like. Onwards and upwards hopefully! We just need to settle her a little more so that she's not needing sight of us quite so much but we will get there I'm sure. Two weeks ago, she was still living her old life so it's very early days yet.
