Once again thank you everyone for your comments. I think I was just doubting myself a little. I like the comment "thinker" that does sum Jed up he watches the world go by at his own pace!

Annie
I’m Homed
I'm afraid not NMD07. I needed to get Banger settled first and was just hoping Annie's was still going to be available. Having met and cuddled Annie I now know that was a tall order. She is going to be so loved which is all that matters. I will be keeping my eye on all the rest of the intake over the next few weeks for a girlfriend for Banger.

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Met Tessie today at daybreaks and tried to walk her but she was to scared to go. Luckily while we were there, she went out to a foster home. So hope she learns there is nothing to be scared about and settles down. She is a lovely little girl, so tiny and does like a cuddle. Sending her my cuddle today. Xx

Rumblesmom, you have no idea! I only had to look him in the eye and I was hooked. We have always had Rhodesian Ridgebacks in past years and lost our last girlie just over 12 months ago and the statement of the day was " no more dogs it's to heart breaking" and what do we go and do. We visited Melbick for an olive tree and came out with a Greyhound!!! It just shows how much love we still have for dogs and how much we were both in denial. We can't wait to get him home and try on all his new clothes. He even has his name on his coats, how cute is that?

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Caro. Sorry to arrive late at the party, but I thought I'd add to what everyone else is saying too. We also have two Greys at home and just like Lola and Lena, they are totally different. Gent is my quiet boy; granted he loves his food, but he's not particularly interested in playing with toys and doesn't want to be cuddled - I say he's a 'thinker'. Emily on the other hand is a total cuddle-monster too, wants to be involved in whatever you're doing (all the time!!!!!) and often does the wall of death in our house when Daddy comes home from work! I guess if we'd had Emily first and then Gent, I may have wondered if he was unhappy as well. As everyone else says, like humans, they all have different personalities, some take longer to completely settle than others (I would say it was 12 months before Emily totally settled with us, whereas Gent seemed fine from day one). I can't deny though that while I was decorating a few weeks ago and our two went to my Mum and Dad's, I was more than a little put out when I popped over for a visit and neither of them could be bothered to even get up out of their beds when it was time for me to go!!!! What I had to tell myself was that they were happy, felt safe and secure and didn't feel the need to 'fly' from their environment and not that they were unhappy being with me. From your earlier messages, you sound like you're doing great, so don't be too hard on yourself, Jed may just need to take things at his own pace. Sounds like you've got a few suggestions involving training, which you may both enjoy together, but who knows, maybe you've just got a 'thinker' too! Mand x

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Tessie, I've logged on whilst Mom's not looking so I can check on my Daybreaks buddies and having seen your photos and read that you had 146 (wow!) races, I just have to send you the BIGGEST electronic cuddle today. Arriving somewhere new can be a little daunting, but please be assured that all the humans at Daybreaks are there to keep you safe, give you loads of cuddles and look after you whilst you wait for your new family to walk through the door. I know my Mom clicked on your details yesterday and went a little misty eyed, so I'm sure that you'll have that effect on lots of our two legged companions. Thinking of you, Rosie Po xx
