Dear Duggie I have sent you a cuddle today in the hope someone will be willing to give you a loving home very soon. In my experience all three of our four legged friends have their little issues that over time we have learnt to understand and I am sure there will be someone out there to help you through your worries. Duggie has been coming home with me every night and we have seen a massive change in how he is. If he is tired - he is grumpy (can't we all be!) and just likes to be left alone in his bed. On his walks, he likes to shout across the park to all the other dogs to say hello and once up close, has a sniff, wags his tail and looks out for the next dog to say hi to! He is totally clean in the house, sleeps well, eats well and loves playing with his ball on a rope. I am desperate to find this fella a home to call his own. This would be one with no children and not too busy. He is VERY wary of people he doesn't know and sadly will growl to start with if approached but if you call him to you, he is normally absolutely fine but to someone who hasn't got confidence with dogs, this could be quite frightening. He will keep coming home with me until he finds the right home - there must be one out there..... so if you are interested, please give me a call. Because of his unpredictable nature, he really needs a very patient home where he can be understood. If someone was prepared to adopt him, I would fund his food for the rest of his life.......

The home checkers Paul and Linda have been and given us the green light to go ahead with the re-homing of the lovely Banger. His bed turned up this morning together with his red lead and collar with his name on. Cant wait for the 9th August when we can start spoiling him.

You get my cuddle today Duggie you gorgeous boy. I dont know what changed your mind about people but with all the love and affection you deserve, I know you can learn to trust again. You are so very handsome and deserve your own home with a family who understand you and let you trust again in your own time - I know you can do it. We had a wonderful older grey (Billy) who had only every lived in kennels and was very nervous and scared of people but with loads of our love and our time he changed and we had some very precious years with him before we lost him to Rainbow Bridge. It can be done but takes understanding. I know your future home is waiting for you and in the meantime you have the marvelous kennel staff to look after you. All my love Duggie boy, Terry XXXXX

Happy birthday to our big blue idiot, Jonty. I have had a chat with him today and told him he is now a big boy and needs to start acting like one but I don't think he has taken much notice. Has anyone got any earplugs they don't need?

Reuben

Reuben has now been with us for more than 6 months and continues to be a lovely boy. We have just come back from the Commonwealth Games and whilst we were away the dogs were at the Bark Inn kennels. They knew Reuben from when he was with his previous family and were obviously concerned when we said he would be fine to be kennelled with Nina or Jonty, as he had always been kept away from the family's other dogs. When we picked them up today they said he was like a different dog to the one they knew, now happy and bouncy whereas before they had had to drag him out of his kennel. I was so touched to be told this, but also pleased that his previous family had made the decision to give him up as for whatever reason it obviously wasn't working for him or them. I don't believe it was anything they did, maybe he just didn't like one of the other dogs he was with. I've always been 'a dog is for life' person but now have to concede, as Ruth says, that sometimes it is best to admit that things are not working and give the dog back.

Cadbury

Cadbury has been the perfect gentleman and he definitely has an admirer in Cara as she has taken to looking after him. Boo is also a little bit in love with him and wants to play! Cadburys still a little shy at the moment though, sorry Boo-Boo! He's settling in quite well, and only cried once last night but was soon comforted and back off to sleep, so far so good.
