Foxy (Uppy)
I’m Homed
Poor Uppy - he was x-rayed yesterday at Fivelands as he has been biting himself on his back for a while now. Skin scrapes and other tests showed nothing. The x-rays showed he has a 'subluxed right hip' - in our terms - the joint keeps dislocating and therefore the head of the joint has now become ground down on one side so it is causing him pain when he moves. He is on Metacam and rest for two weeks and the vets have advised swimming to help build up the muscles in the hip area to support the joint. If pain relief and swimming don't do the trick - the only other option would be a hip replacement....... yesterday cost over £500 so thank goodness he is insured with Petplan 🙂

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Sending Tessie my cuddle tonight too. She is a very petite and pretty girl. It must be so traumatic for some of these beautiful dogs to suddenly find themselves somewhere completely new and unfamiliar to them. Hopefully a lovely home will soon be hers. Xxx

Toney
I’m Homed
Yep, Toney woke up in time and we had a good walk. He saw a stationary cat and preferred a piece of cheese rather than staying interested in the cat. He was a little strong to begin with, but soon settled down and walked quite nicely. Ripple is doing her best to show him how to behave (she really is special) as everything is so exciting at the moment.

Hope Toney woke up in time to go for a walk! Glad to hear he ate his dinner ok. It sounds as though Ripple has taken a liking to him, even if he has strange habits such as licking the TV! Xxx

Like ladyvictoria said. If your missing stuff check his bed. Poor ruth thought she was going bonkers sunday morning with a blanket in a bed in the run. It kept disappearing. Being found inside. So I went and retrived it and put it back... then went and hid to see who was moving it. Guess who !!! Didn't chew it. Just moved and hid it. Lol. He was fab on his walk and just wanted to play and dance about. Such a gentle. Happy. Giant. Xxxx

Torres
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Poor Torres is on bed rest and no walks for a few days after coming in from the garden this morning after playing with Lottie and Coco covered in blood..... looked like a blood bath. Searched dogs and it was his paw gushing. Couldnt see where coming from. So had to bandage and off to vets we went where he was stitched. Antibiotics. Foot wash and me stupidly forgetting to muzzle him whilst vet worked on him. I am now proud owner of some slight marks on my arm. Bless him. My fault. He was in alot if pain. Daft dog. All forgiven after he gave both me and vet a big kiss each (of Torres that is) lol. Xxx.

Mia (Splash)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Mia has been in for more tests today. Her blood is now up from 21 to 27 in just 48 hours! The vets were stunned with her progress. Tonight she was jogging round the field investigating rabbits in the hedgerows almost as if nothing had happened. They have taken samples of her lung fluid and even lung tissue to check that a tumour hasn't caused this, but they think that this is less likely than likely and that, although Mia may have to permanently be on medication, she should be able to lead a normal life if the tests come back negative. The vets in Kenilworth and Warwick have been indescribably wonderful - quick-thinking, caring and professional. We are indebted to them. Thank you again for your support and will post the final results on Friday! x

Oh Annie Annie, what a shame. I understand that it just has to be right. You would be a perfect mate for my Delphy, but I know it is not right for me to have another right now. Your sofa is out there sweetheart. xxxx

Toney

Toni travelled very well in the car with ripple, he has met the hoover (just lay down watching it) and licked the telly, played in the garden with ripple and has eaten a reasonable tea. If he wakes up we are all going for a walk later.
