Ada
I’m Homed
Ada had a fabulous day! At her review at Nottingham it was felt she was doing so well she could be discharged from the care of East Midlands Referral Centre - yay! She still has several months of antibiotic cover as a precaution for her leg. She is allowed on short walks of up to 20 mins twice a day and can play with her toys to her hearts content without us worrying now! After her trip to Nottingham, I dropped her off to her foster home in Bromsgrove and she was shattered! Thanks to Maggie and Paul for fostering her whilst she waits to find that forever home out there somewhere........

Charlie
I’m Homed
Charlie went for a long countryside walk yesterday (1.5 hours) over fields, including stiles, woodland, including fallen trees and a bit of walking on the road. He was accompanied by MIsty and his two little friends, Rose the Lhasa Apso and Bert the spaniel. (I was there as well obviously, I wouldn't send them on their own, they'd get into all sorts of trouble!). He was a good as gold, negotiated all stiles with aplomb and didn't need to lifted over anything. He got on really well with his little friends and after the walk we repaired to Little Heath Garden Centre for a restorative coffee & cake, purely to socialise the dogs of course! Whilst there we met 2 Greys and their people from Hall Green RGT. They were very complimentary about how lovely Charlie was, Dog Mom was so proud! Incidentally if any one is out walking that way, Little Heath Garden Cente is very dog friendly, we were invited in and made to feel very welcome & offered water for the dogs. The coffee is Lavazza (my personal favourite, we'll go again!)

Tessie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Don't worry Tessie, a nice home will come along, you sound so much like Ripple (scared of everything) and she turned out to be the best behaved dog in the world, but she is still scared away from her house. Ripple thinks timid lady greys would make a perfect pet for quiet houses or where a more outgoing Grey is already in residence.

Toney
I’m Homed
Tony has had another busy day, this morning he went on a walk at Moira Furnace and saw several dogs and was very well behaved. He was very interested in three Labradors playing, I think he just wanted to join in, and he could not take his eyes of a horse. He has seen another stationary cat and he went into the sight hound stare, but that was all. He has had two reasonable meals today and is slowly learning to leave humans alone when they are eating, he seems very hungry but not that hungry for his own food! We went on a small walk this evening as Ripple has had to go back on the pain killers today, and Tony had a sniff nose to nose (through his mussel) at a small dog and then just wanted to carry on the walk. With some patience and training I think he will make an amazing pet, as he his very loving and very happy to be with people.

Hello everyone, I have been left for a couple of hours this week and I have been really good. I haven't made a mess or ripped anything up....I have to be good though because I have three big sisters who will tell on me if I'm not.

Carrie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Kate , I haven't taken them for a weigh in since they both reached over 25kg and I now know what looks right , they both have such glossy coats now and Im so happy with them , almost too happy , I met my neighbour who was walking home from work one evening when I was walking Carrie and Carla and I felt guilty to say to him that these two are the best dogs that I have ever had , they are so rewarding and easy , apart from when Carrie knows she's going to go for a walk then hell breaks loose and she turns into Hong Kong Phooey .

Duggie
I’m Homed
What can I say..... Duggie is being an absolute dream at our house - can be left throughout the day, is clean, eats well, a bit excited on the lead but just to meet and greet other dogs around the park to say hello to. He has totally stopped growling at us now when we go near him in the house and is very affectionate. He is just very grumpy with people he doesn't know to start with but soon gets used to them. I am desperate to find this fella a home....... please give me a call if you would like more information. He doesn't sell himself at the kennels but if you would like to see him at our house, you are more than welcome! The kettle will be on!
