I hope little Ada is feeling more comfortable today after her trip to the Canine Sports Clinic yesterday!!! :-))) Thanks for getting it sorted Mrs B...you have a good heart and a kind soul. I really hope Ada can find a loving home and a careful and understanding new owner. l noticed that you have corrected your grammatical Faux Pax ( l was'nt going to mention it....honestly )!!!!!!!! Now...l know that you had a long, hard day yesterday, and it was fairly late....but you really must start adding a little something to that Southern Comfort !!! XXX. P.S. I am desperately looking for a dictionary to check my spelling of Faux Pax...bloody French...knew l should have used "error" instead !!!

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Well finally found the courage to let Jed off the lead in our 8 acre field. I don't know quite what I was expecting at the very least he would brake into a run, possibly chase some of the rabbit's in the end he did NOTHING just carried on sniffing a particularly interesting blade of grass. So there we were at 5.30 this morning me running round the field shouting Jed and him stood looking rather confused and with that sort of expression on his face that just says "look what I have to put up with!" I suppose I should be grateful that I didn't have to spend two hours catching him but I do feel less guilty about not letting him off the lead sooner he obviously is not fussed about running!!

    I’m Homed

I did over 100 mile round trip today to get Ada seen today as she was having problems with her leg. She ended up having x-rays and a screw removed under sedation and she is now on antibiotics. Bless her - she was so brave and I could not recommend Richard Torr at the Canine Sports Clinic more for helping her today. What excellent service! https://www.caninesports.co.uk/

    I’m Homed

Hi Kate. We actually discovered that Gent is only 9 years old, thanks to his brother Tom (and Maggie) and a phone-call to the English Greyhound Studbook - if only we could all reverse our birth-dates!!! Mr Gent has thoroughly enjoyed himself though, a lovely walk (and customary birthday gallop) around the park with Emily and his Lurcher pal Honey, spark out for the rest of the day and the hopping around the kitchen tonight when he clocked the sardine can heading towards his dinner bowl. The prize for the worst birthday present goes to me though, when I presented him with a new rain-coat. That boy is human, I'm sure he rolled his eyes at me, before taking himself off to the coolest part of the house!!!! Mand x

Giving my cuddle to young Banger tonight. He was neutered today. Poor lad was understandably quite wobbly when he came back! Hopefully he will feel much better tomorrow. Xxx
