So glad to hear Lola is on the mend I know all greys are special but Lola is an extra special girl who has a special place in many people's hearts. Hi Arthur - I met you at the Kennels and you are gorgeous. I was there when your photo was taken with Jess and Louis and you were such a good boy and posed like a true professional. Good luck for ever and enjoy your soon to be new home. I am so pleased that patsydior is adopting you and is prepared to help you with your deafness. We had a little dog (not a greyhound) who went very deaf and we just had to make sure we were facing him when giving him commands and did not frighten him by walking up behind him and surprising him. He coped very well and was a very happy little boy. I am sure you will give so much love and affection and I just loved your 'little' tail, so cute - those long ones only get in the way ! - you have a designer one. Lots of love and kisses from Davey, Flynn, Millie, Nell, Pip and from one of the many failed foster carers - me, Terry. XXXXXX

Congratulations little Snip. I am so very happy that your foster mom and dad have decided to keep you and I hope you all have many, many, many happy years together. As a failed foster carer myself (many times over and not only for greyhounds!) I know exactly how your mom and dad feel by not wanting to lose all of the love you will give them. Chase (Ken)

Hi Val I hope you don't mind me asking after Ken, but I knew him and his litter sister Buffy when they were just pups. They were at the same kennels where we had a couple of our dogs. The trainer adored these pups, as she does all her dogs. Marinus was a very timid dog and I helped coax him into walking on the lead and continued to walk him every Sunday until we left Monmore and took our dogs to Perry Barr, so I'm very upset to read that he lived as a stray! Have the people who homed him been located and if so have they explained why? Maybe i shouldn't ask, but I love all greyhounds with a passion, especially when I've had the pleasure of knowing them personally... I am so glad that he's found a 'truely' forever home with you and yours and I'd be grateful if you'd give him a cuddle from me Xx

Lola (Lass)

Hi all. Lola is continuing to improve and personality-wise is almost back to normal. She is back to having her own opinions about things and wagging her tail ever time she moves. She is still a bit clingy though which is unusual for her. Her paw-placement is showing signs of improvement on her left front leg. When we went to the Willows she could not put it right when the paw was turned over, but now she can pick it up to place it the right way up, albeit that happens quite slowly. She's still a bit clumsy when moving around obstacles, but not staggering around like she's drunk which is where we were a few weeks ago. Lola is doing some short walks now and has no problems spotting the cats! Her blood test results came back on Friday and threw up a couple of things which need further investigation. She is booked back into see our vet this coming Thursday for a further blood test and the other test requires a urine sample so I'm looking forward to that one! I expect it will be mum's job! Thanks for all your kind words and good wishes. It means such a lot to know that you are all out there. Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena xxxx

Cara has really settled in well, she gets on really well with the little dogs and Ava loves her. It's as if we have always had her. Her trial has worked out really well so she is definitely saying goodbye and staying with us. Trixie the little yorkie even lay by her to help her settle in. She sends lots of kisses to her friends at Daybreak xxxxx
