Sadly Carla has been returned today. Monty had been getting very snappy with her and although the family thought this was something they could have worked on, unfortunately due to a health problem with a family member which will mean numerous visits to the hospital they felt they would be unable to cope with extra pressure at this time. They wanted people to know Carla is a very special girl and did absolutely nothing wrong and hope someone will give her a special forever home very soon. Xxx

Hi Melodysmom - It is nice to know that Ken/Bolt had an excellent start and that he has a sister Buffy. He is still timid around people he doesn't know. Your Sunday walks with him have done you proud as he is a lovely dog to walk. Thank you.

How funny ! When we had our first greyhound, I had a shop so my business partner and I took it in turns on our days off to go to each other's house and let the dogs out !!! Charlie used to get so excepting when he saw liz at the door that he used to take a running jump at it and consequently bolt himself in !!! Three times we had to smash the glass to get in , we laugh now !! our Charlie was such a fabulous boy lots of funny memories x

So pleased that she is improving and hope that she continues to progress. Hope the blood tests all come back OK and nothing to be concerned about. These hounds can be such a worry at times. Norris sends a big cuddle and hopes she is back to full health soon Love Lynne , Dave, boys, Andy, Maissy and of course Norri xxx

Quick update on Angel (Angie's new name). She is currently laid on her bed with Tilly laying on her. Not certain Angel is too thrilled with the arrangement..... Been out for a nice long walk with the 2 of them side by side with no problems whatsoever. As to be expected, she has barely left her bed whilst we've been in the house but has popped her head round the kitchen door a couple of times and even ventured (very briefly) into the lounge. Must be very disconcerting for her, what with 2 strange adults, a toddler, another dog and even a cat in an altogether unfamiliar environment so, all in all, I reckon that's a pretty positive start. Best of all, she's already had a wee & a poo in the garden. Yay!!! ;0)

Well two of Jed's blood samples have come back normal - Phew!! The last one is for pancreatic function and the vet said she would be surprised if this one came back abnormal after the other two. I could have a greyhound with a bacterial overgrowth which can be treated with long term antibiotics. I will still be happy when the last result is in but I am certainly feeling more hopeful that I did last week.

Clive said he wanted to rename Ken "Bolt" but I wasn't keen. However, when I got home from work today Clive was adamant that he was going to be called 'BOLT'. Apparently, when Clive return to the house he unlocked the door with his keys but was unable to get in because Ken had managed to push the bolt to a locked position and consequently locked Clive out!!!!!!! luckily the bolts were off on the front door.
