A cold and miserable day today, despite this all the dogs that could go for a walk managed both morning and afternoon walks. Thanks to the Wednesday walkers and our volunteers for all of their help today. I met our three new arrivals from yesterday today, they are all lovely. Like all our residents they all need their forever homes with comfy sofas to lounge on. Ruth brought Minnie back to the kennels this morning, she had stayed with Ruth yesterday after her neutering operation, she is the full litter sister to my Cooper (may explain why she is a little crazy)!!! Sadly Joe is no longer reserved. All the inmates are tucked up in bed with their heating on, just remains for me to go home and do the same!!! As always, stay safe and warm everyone.

Over the Rainbow Bridge
Sadly our DJ Tizwaz Torres made his journey over Rainbow Bridge this morning. Aged 13 years 9 months. He collapsed at home this morning, where I rushed him to the vets, but nothing could be done.... I took him on his final journey to the Pet Crem and we said our final goodbyes. I'm heartbroken.... run pain free and young again my beautiful brindle boy. ????????

Shirley, Richard and I fell head over heals for River when he arrived this afternoon. He is so very happy and has a little trot when he walks. :)) He has had a long racing career and so really deserves to have a super retirement with a soft sofa and lots of love! Just gorgeous! Xxx

Fred enjoyed his first visit to Brueton Park today. He loved the car that much he was laid out in the back and didn't want to move when we arrived at the park !! After persuasion he jumped out and enjoyed his walk taking in all the sights...ducks...birds... small fluffy dogs etc with no problems. He is very friendly towards other dogs. A lad with a lovely manner who showed no signs of any problems due to his broken hock. He'll be a fantastic addition to any home.

Daybreaks Diary!

It was greyt to be back today, it was still quite chilly but nice and sunny. All dogs had morning and afternoon walks thanks to our lovely volunteers. It was busy for visitors, nail cutting, sand run and food collections. Many thanks to Lisa B and husband Luca for doing a warehouse run for us this morning, we had literally run out of Burns and the next run wasn't scheduled until Thursday. Capri found herself reserved and has gone out to see how she is in the home and with her family. Fingers crossed that everything goes well. Fred was not settling well in the Kennels so has gone to stay with Ruth for a while. Minnie is gorgeous but is a bit of an excitable girl, she is the full litter sister of my Cooper and also Denver! Despite her trainer trying to convince me I can't. She needs some more socialisation, she did apparently walk very nicely today. All the residents were tucked up with their fleece and heating on. Stay safe and well everyone.
