Lovely Merlin, our favourite at the kennels. Wonderful to walk and such a happy boy. He gets on so well with his kennel mate Sam and was chilled out sunbathing today. Hope your very own sofa comes along soon Merlin you will make someone a fantastic pet. X

We love Sam, such a friendly boy. Had the pleasure of walking Sam and Merlin this morning in the beautiful sunshine and when they got back they both lay down in the sun for a little sunbathe!! Now I know where the saying comes from, "It's a dogs life"! All he needs is his own sofa and he will make such a wonderful pet. Lots of hugs XX

    I’m Homed

Dave walked Tigger and Torres today, they were both beautifully behaved and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine. Lots of cyclists, planes going overhead and a very busy A45 but both dogs didn't seem phased by the noise. An absolute pleasure to walk.

Hi Tash and John, just to let you know that the gorgeous Rosie Posy had a lovely long walk in the sunshine this morning and we gave her a big cuddle for you. She is going to be a very spoiled pooch when she comes to live with you. See you soon, Cathy and David XX

Oh Rosie Posy, what was I thinking?! How could I have forgotten to put a new post on your page? We spent lots of time with you again yesterday and I think you understood when we chatted about you coming to live with us next Sunday. Your 'Auntie Sue' thinks you're gorgeous and I'm sure she's someone you'll be twisting around your little paw!! The trellis has been delivered and 'big uncle John' is securing it in place this week so there's no way you can get out of your new garden. Me & 'Dad' are looking at more bedding options for you today sweetie pie and I've already chosen your indoor coat from the office. Yes, I know you had your eye on a toy as well, so we'll be picking that up next Sunday when we come to collect you my lovely. Big hugs, 'Mom' xx

I have got to say when I met Lilly yesterday at the kennels I didn't recognise her from her picture - she is not showing off her beautiful black ears - she is very similar to Max our boy we lost a few years ago. She is booked to be speyed next week so she will come and stop at our house before and after her op.... I can't wait!

Hi John/jenny - I think a tractor going past sounding its horn would frighten most of us! The best thing you can give her is your support, encouragement and most of all your patience. She is learning a whole new life which she has got to learn to understand and it is so rewarding when finally she does. x

hi john/jenny just make sure you stay calm and still if you have a squeaky toy in your hand or just the squeaky to take her mind of it that helps with a treat my meg was the same and in time it helped her a lot

It's really all about love and patience and time. Daisydog has been with me for 17 months now and she is sooooo different to the girl who was spooked by most things and most people. Maybe read about her progress on my posts. My experience is that by letting the dog do things at their own pace much can be achieved. a little encouragement helps - and oodles of praise. Daisydog goes to training with other breeds which has helped too. Today she walked round a busy outdoor market with me for the first time! She us braver when she is with her chum Katie as well! The Saturday training sessions with Julie Sadler before I moved to the seaside were perfect for her and her confidence really developed. Auntie Ruth can give you lots of advice too. The rewards of seeing a nervous girl blossom are priceless. X

  • Katie (Kitty)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Whilst at Crufts on Thursday we were chatting to the Whippet group who invited us to visit them today as they practiced only a couple of miles from our house. All though Katie towered above all the other dogs her behavior was impeccable! She got the chance to have her first run off the lead with two sessions chasing the lure, we were completely stunned to see just how fast she can run! She thoroughly enjoyed herself and is now curled up in her bed, feet twitching away in dreamland!
