Hi Sarahphe, Ellie is a little gummy bear now - the poor little girl had to have all but 5 teeth removed. She will have to have a repeat x-ray next week to check on her sinuses and hopefully the swelling on her head will start to improve. She has been quite unsettled since we got her home a short while ago but hopefully will feel much better tomorrow. She is beautiful x

Daisydog here ' I have an announcement to make; I have barked for the second time in 13 months. Mum very kindly changed the panel in my new front door last week so that we could see through it. And today I barked at the POSTMAN. I didn't bark at any of the other people who have been to the house, just Pat the Postman. Me clever girl!!'. Daisydog and I hope very much that some of the beautiful greys at Daybreaks find their forever homes this weekend. xx

Little Ellie joined Joe on the van this morning to be checked by the vet as her head seemed a little swollen. The vet seems to think this could be due to her teeth being in an awful state so she is currently having her dental.... we are trying to wait patiently for news...... I will keep you posted....

My poor Joe.... he is currently at the vets being x-rayed with a suspected broken toe! I have absolutely no idea how he has done it - he went to bed last night fine and limping first thing as he got out of bed! 🙁

Ted is with us for the weekend to see how Minnie and him get on so far not to bad Minnie's only growl when he tried to join her on the sofa but he soon retreated mind you I think I would have growled if someone was trying to sit on me . They both now have their muzzles off ted is flaked out by the sofa and Minnie on the sofa which i find funny as there is now two rather large unused dog bed in the frontroom they have had fun in the garden Minnie really wanted ted to chase her and play but ted wanted to sniff everywhere Ted really likes my husband he cried when he popped out fingers crossed everything continues this way

  • Reuben

    I’m Homed

I hope I will not regret writing this because it is obviously very early days for us and Reuben but I am struggling to understand why he has been returned from 4 homes. He seems such an easy straightforward type of boy, typical greyhound lad. We have another boy here and if I was going to return one it certainly wouldn't be Reuben! (love you Jonty Muppet but you are a pain!). We have little frightened Nina here as well and she is flirting outrageously with Reuben. Badger is looking less murderous towards him than a day or two ago so hopefully he will be able to stay with us until his long term future is decided. And Ruth, if rehoming is difficult, just throw a few sob stories Joe's way, you know it works every time!! xx
