Please be reassured about the willows. Both my last two greys had the most amazing care and skill extended to them by the brilliant specialists and nursing staff. They managed to get one of my boys to walk again after being paralysed by a spinal haematoma. They will do all they can and give you all the information so you are able to make the right decisions. They also have a general practise and daisydog went for her boosters etcs. I hope all goes well; there really is nowhere better to go in my opinion.

Sorry for the last post hit the add button by mistake. The vet has called and the specialist has confirmed it is cancer. They are going to run some X-rays and possibly a scan to check for spread. Looking at all the information they are happy to operate and are optimistic. She will be going to the willows too which I have heard good things about. I know we are not out of woods yet but compared to the other day this is great news. I can't stop smiling. Thank you for all of your lovely comments and support. X

Kitty
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Thanks Mr-Dan-always-in-our-hearts.... she is definitely a special girl who is doing so well - in a new situation she becomes quite stressed but once she knows routine she is very laid back. She now doesn't need her muzzle around the park, happily meeting other breeds and is totally clean in the house and loves nothing more to sleep the day away on the window seat. Yesterday she was left at home all day from 8.30am 'til late afternoon and I watched her on the cameras and other than bark at the postman through the window she was golden!

Kitty
Over the Rainbow Bridge
We fostered Kitty for four days last week to help out Ruth due to the influx at the kennels, and she was an absolute treasure. She was golden with our other 3 greys and was fine walking in the park and meeting new breeds - she wasn't phased in the slightest. Kitty is a very loving greyhound and loves cuddles, if your sitting on the sofa, she won't jump on you, but she will rest her two legs on your lap then snuggle into your side and go to sleep (adorable). A lovely addition to any family willing to give her a bit of patience, love and time. Once Kitty is settled, you will see what a wonderful grey she is. We miss her very much and would have her back anytime. Pleas give this beautiful grey her forever home - you won't regret it xx

Mia
I’m Homed
Poor Mia caught both her dew claws this morning so her owner popped round to my house to sort them out. She was a very brave girl when I pulled them off and she is proudly wearing matching red leg cuff bandages! Catalina the vet will be on site at Daybreaks again on Saturday so don't forget if your grey needs a booster or you would like to chat to the vet about any concerns you are more than welcome - Mia will be first in the queue to have her legs checked!. Just give me a call if you would like to come along - consultations are free- just a donation in the pot will help towards the continuing improvements at Daybreaks.

Ellie
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi chickman - Ellie is at the kennels - she did go out on trial for 5 weeks but the family decided it was not the right thing to do in adopting her as Ellie and their female grey were not 100% happy. She is very good in the kennels, nice and clean and a lovely affectionate girl. We hope she finds a home soon...

Daisydog here ' it's sooo lovely to read the messages for me and mum. Ty. Mostly I've been travelling and meeting my new friend Katie who is a five yr old grey. I have let her sleep in my pink donut. Mum says we are moving in today so I must be a good girl, which really I almost always am! Xx
