    I’m Homed

Poor little Boo is so timid and nervous of everything around her, it's such a shame as she is the cutest little girl with a lovely grey face mask and the most gorgeous eyes. Hopefully with kennel mate Biffo as a role model, and some patience and TLC, she will come to realise that the world's not such a scary place after all. She did wag her tail a couple of times yesterday, she just needs a bit of time to gain her confidence. Big cuddles sweetheart, your lovely new home is out there waiting for you. xx

Oh I am so pleased that Masie has'gone home' its been so awful to log on and see all the returnees this week, your heart just goes out to everyone involved !! we have had a bit of aggression from Blade over food, but I do not think this is a domination thing,I think it is because of whats gone on before we had him, because in every other way he is perfect !! I have never experienced this behavior before and it REALLY upset me, but there is such a lot of help out there to overcome any behavior problem, usually its just beacuse the dog is uneasy and is trying to tell us for what ever reason, I know daybeaks is always there for support , and also I went online and printed off some methods to help Blade, we have started to implement them and touch wood it seems to be working !! I just feel sometimes you may have a glip but when they become part of the family you just have to work thorugh it, there is always a reason for any aggression/nervousness as greyhounds as a breed are submissive not aggressive. I love Blade I want him to be happy and relaxed just like Bertie is !! what I am really trying to say is well done for giving Masie another chance, I am sure that you will work through it and she will pay you back ten fold ! x

I am so pleased to say that Maisie has gone back home this morning. She is now going to be sleeping in the lounge at night where she seems happy. I am over the moon as she was so clearly excited when she saw her owners.

Oh my goodness Clare, what a shock to read that Josie has been so poorly. You must both be so worried as there's nothing worse than seeing one of your babies in obvious discomfort. We will keep everything crossed for a good result from the vets tests. Be sure to know we are thinking of you. Love from Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena xxxx

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Yesterday I took Breeze to the kennels and paired her up with Brett. She was dropped at our house on Wednesday evening by her very upset owners as she has been getting separation anxiety when left and has been chewing the woodwork. On Thursday after her breakfast and a walk I left her at home with my greys. I checked on her on the cameras and she spent the morning on the window seat and didn't move. I popped in at lunchtime to let her out and she went straight back to the window seat for her second half of sleep! She sleeps all through the night and was unmuzzled with all of mine She is an adorable little girl who desperately needs to find a new home and not be back in kennels. Sadly the Boswell House is very full so if you can offer a home for this gorgeous girl, please give me a call.... Ruth 0121 782 7702

Sending big get well hugs to Lena - corns are rotten things.... I spent a while yesterday afternoon removing one from the lovely Gemma who had been brought up by her owner Chris as she was hobbling 🙁 She trotted away happily after being bribed with some beef jerky and we are friends again!

Our lovely Josie has been quite poorly. We found a lump in her neck, she had a procedure Tuesday to remove some cells for testing. Her neck became very swollen (if anyone has seen photos of Nora when she was poorly it looked similar) it made her breathing laboured too. It's been really difficult to see her so out of sorts and swollen. The good news is each day the swelling has gone down today and her neck and face look like a greyhound should again and her breathing is almost back to normal. Today she is acting like herself again it's been wonderful to see. Louis has played with his toys again today too he has been very quiet and out of sorts. We are still waiting for the test results but are keeping our everything crossed for good news. I hope tonight has gone well and you have raised some money for the greys. Sorry I couldn't make it. Xx
