Sparky
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Well, it's almost time for the lovely Sparky to go off on his journey to his amazing new life. When I got home from being at the kennels this afternoon, he came to greet me as usual, then put his head in my bag and very gently pulled out my fleece and carried it to me!! Didn't chew or play with it, almost as if he was saying "Here's your jacket Mum now can we go for a walk??!!". His personality is really starting to come out now and when he gets to his new home with lots of space and friends to play with - I can see him being a really cheeky boy!! Bless his paws, he really is my cheerful star and we shall miss him. xx

I’m Homed
Hi Everyone, Mandy here. My cunning plan is working, if I cock my head to one side, lift one ear and open my big beautiful brown eyes as wide as I can, I can make my mom and dads hearts melt. Add to that my tail which just seems to be wagging all the time and I am on to a sure thing! I may have had a rough start in life but it's worth the wait to find some lovely people at the kennels, my foster family and a mom and dad who love me to bits. I think they have become greyhound converts! I have some new doggy friends - there are lots of them walking when I go out and I am getting more confident and can say hello. I think my forever home is in the bag!! Hugs and kisses Mandy xxxxx

Lady (Georgie Girl)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Maggie can be sure Daybreaks will find a loving home for her girl. Georgy is a great, fun girl who is good with other dogs, good off lead and a very bright girl 🙂 Her mum loves her very much and wants the very best for Georgy, many thanks to Caroline for fostering Georgy. Sending Maggie lots of love. Julie xx

Very sad to read this as we also know Maggie and Georgie Girl from training. This must be a very upsetting time for all the family but Maggie can be sure that everyone at Daybreaks will do their utmost to secure a great home for her girl. Thinking of you all. Love from Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena xxx

We have had the very sad news that Georgie Girl's mum is seriously ill and therefore is unable to keep her any more. She is going to be fostered by Caroline from Saturday and she will be taking her to the roadshow to try and find her a home. If you could possibly offer this beautiful little girl a home, please let me know. Thinking of Maggie through this awful time and sending strength and much love to her x

Tilly (Snowy)
I’m Homed
Tilly went straight onto her own bed last night (Hoorah). We're working with her separation anxiety as we can't even leave the room without her panicking, but she'll get there once she is sure that we will never ever abandon her or leave her for very long. She is getting more and more waggy every day and is desperate to play with our cats but they keep snubbing her. I'm sure once they realise how warm and comfy she is they will all be snuggled up together. 🙂

Very good advice maccasmum - I am just doing an article for the Grapevine about Nancy the greyhound who was kicked by a horse and had horrific injuries but luckily survived.
