Hi, I had the exact same thing with Danny, I think maybe he caught his side on a table whilst jumping on and off the sofa, it filled up with fluid and he too had to have it drained and was on antibiotics for a week. It soon cleared, nothing has ever come back and you would never know that it had happened.

Glad to hear all seems to be going well with Roxy and Jaylo. I expect one or both of us will bump into you while we're out walking at some point in the future. Until then, hope all continues to tick along nicely. Love from Linda, Paul, Lola & Lena x

How worrying. I hope the antibiotics sort her out. I know how you must feel - had similar experience recently with one of my girls. Fingers and toes crossed that everything improves when she is checked next week. x

I met Nina today - she is a gorgeous girl and ate up her treats with relish. And such a fab colour too. x

We were wondering how you and Mandy were getting on so very pleased to hear she is settling with you, I knew she would. She totally destroyed one of Norris's toys when she was here, I was surprised at how quickly she did it. I would suggest a kong too, especially as they can be stuffed with treats and things to make them work harder. We have also used a treat ball which Missy worked out, but it took Norris a little longer. Please give Mandy a bit hug from us and tell her that Norris is missing her kisses too! xxx

Nina's tests today revealed pyometra (The term "pyometra" refers to a potentially fatal condition in which the uterus becomes infected and gradually fills with pus if left untreated) however as she has been to the vets - this can be treated with high level antibiotics. After a check up in 10 days, if she is doing well, she will have the dental work that she desperately needs. Her blood tests from today show that she is a very fit girl for her age which is great news. She had a very quiet, settled night at ours with no accidents - she is a pleasure to have. If you would like to help with her vet bills, please click the donate button on her page - every bit really helps and I am so grateful if you are able to support her veterinary fees x

We disovered a lump on our Belle's side on Saturday, took her to a skin specialist at the Vets yesterday who thankfully advised that the lump probably developed due to trauma, i.e a knock or a bump during play etc. The Vet drew fluid out of the lump through a needle and Belle is now on a week course of antibiotics and due to return for a check up next week. It was rather concerning, but I count my blessings that it was nothing serious.

So pleased to hear Mandy is doing so well. My greyhound has several toys with arms, legs, heads etc missing! I found the most robust are the Kong ones. We do sell a selection of them at the kennels or you can buy them at most good pet shops or online. Please give Mandy a hug from me. Xxx

    I’m Homed

Mandy is starting to settle in and slept downstairs on her own all through her first night. I did expect her to come upstairs but not a peep from her! We have taken her on a long walk around the park this evening and she met a few cats on the way. Interested but carried on walking after we told her to "leave". She is very interested in all the cuddly toys around the house, so much so that I have had to hide them all away. Her fluffy pheasant was ripped to pieces in seconds - it looked as though it had snowed with all the stuffing scattered around the place! Any suggestions for something a bit more robust would be greatly appreciated!!!
