    I’m Homed

I have received this information from Lily's current owner. We are desperate to help her find a home ASAP. 6 months ago I decided to give Lily her forever home. She was very scared when she came to me and suffered terribly with separation anxiety. Together we worked through it and within only 2 weeks she was settled, happy and content. she was a loving addition to our house. My son loves her and she loves him and we were all very happy. Then suddenly and unexpectedly, 3 months after getting Lily,I became very ill and almost died of meningitis. Luckily my parents and friends have rallied around to help look after my son and pop in regularly to feed Lily and walk her to do her business whilst ive been in hospital but unfortunately no one could stay with her so she has been on her own an awful lot. She is a very loving dog and likes company and companionship. I am on a long road to recovery with lasting side effects that makes daily life difficult at times, i will need alot of help and because of this I think it's only fair on Lily to rehome her as I can't give her the attention and time she needs. Lily has been no problem what so ever. All I would say is if you are out the house all day at work and you dont go home at lunch then Lily isn't the dog for you. She loves company, lying on the sofa or bed with you (she has been spoilt here) She is fine in the house when I leave her and always greets me with a jump to lick me with a wagging tail. She gets a little excited when you return but calms down quickly once she's had some fuss. I will provide everything that is hers from coats to bowls etc and I would love to stay in touch with her and maybe help out where I can such as having her whilst her new owners are on holiday maybe (should they want me too and should I be well enough). Lily is house trained but not suitable for a home with cats. She has been in a couple of homes before and has had to rehomed due to no fault of her own, unfortunately yet again through no fault of her own history has repeated itself so please only consider taking Lily if you know its forever. Lily will stay with me whilst we look for a new home for her so she isn't being moved from pillar to post and people are welcome to visit her to see her in a home environment. This has been a very hard and emotional decision to make but know that by keeping her I would be being selfish and Lily would suffer.

Little rascal Well I don't think i have enough space to write all about the quirky personality and cheeky moments this little lady has. Carrie (now known as Tulip), loves fuss and attention. She also loves the company of other greyhounds. Shes very playful. She would often grab the end of my sleeve if i was putting her back in the kennel, and try pull me in, as she wanted to play some more. She could get a bit nippy at your finger tips first thing when i'd let her out of her kennel, but thats just exictment and as soon as i crossed my arms she soon learnt. Shes a very clever girl. Even when she was injured she still wanted to play around. Shes such a character and any home that has her would never have a dull moment in it, especially if she had a little friend to play with too :). Good luck little rascal xxxx

Mini Meg (she is a little titch) has been with us for a week now and has settled in really well. She's great for her age, loves a couple of long walks a day, likes to play, be there whatever you're doing and of course loves a cuddle, she really is a cutie. She doesn't do stairs and doesn't like to be alone at night but is totally happy with Tess & Cara for company so would like a home with another grey or 2, or maybe a bungalow or ground floor flat where she can be close to her owner at night. She really is a super little girl who needs a permanent home. If you would like to know more do contact Ruth and she'll put you in touch with me. Beryl

I met the lovely Meg at Sally's training class last night. Meg took it all in her stride and did really well. She is so dinky she ended up with the nickname mini Meg. It's a sad situation I hope she finds a home again soon.

I love Tulip too after meeting her on Sunday (she and Dingo were leaning on each other during the walk). Just wish I could talk hubby into the fact that two greys are better than one. Hope she is feeling better soon, she gets my hug today. Xxx

Tulip has come home with me tonight. She seems a bit under the weather. Her temperature is slightly up but I also want the vet to check her front leg as she retired from racing when she broke it but she is still limping..... always better to be safe than sorry..... she has just scoffed an extra bowl of dinner and is wagging her tail happily with all ours - think she is enjoying the company 🙂
