Rip my little finchy. My heart broke yesterday when finding out u were going to have angel wings today. Me and ur dad never had a clue that u was very poorly as u was such a strong character and didn't let on anything other than ur poorly foot. I had a little smile on my face today tho finch knowing that u was loved and cared for so much in the very short time u was with ur new family. Them allowing u to close ur eyes for the last time outside in the sunshine is such a beautiful peaceful way. Rest easy baby girl until we meet again for lots of cuddles and fuss xxx

My dear dear finch will never forget your lovely face- thank you so so much Ruth for helping her over the bridge to meet all her friends you have had such a hard week and also thanks to Jill who was there as your supporter- as hard as this is you make such a difference to these dogs lives whether it is for a short time or a long time and we all appreciate that more than words can say xxxx

Having a cry as just read about Finch. Like to have a look every few days for any news for Dad. From what I have learned over the last few months about DB, she was in the best place and with the best of 'friends'. Off to see Stanley and Gemma today after work will be giving them both a cuddle and a treat as well as my 2 cats when I get home. Take care everyone.

RIP little Finch, I was so lucky I got to cuddle you yesterday,,,you so deserved longer but it was not to be...run free now at the bridge with my gorgeous boy McKenzie who will have been waiting for you. Thank you Ruth for loving these lovely hounds so much and for putting yourself through this over and over again to make it easier for them. xxxx

We asked to take Finch out into the garden at the vets as the sun was shining and she went to sleep in the warmth of the sun and being cuddled. Sleep tight precious - my heart is broken you could not have had longer. Thank you Jill for meeting me at the vets - it meant an awful lot and made what is a very very difficult thing to do a little bit easier. x
