Marco
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Good morning! It's Mother's Day today &, I feel, that includes more people than purely the mothers of children. There are so many people at Daybreaks who work tirelessly for all in their care, they give comfort when a dog is nervous, provide care after an operation, go to Daybreaks come rain or shine, in the freezing cold, when experiencing personal problems & heartache & when they are feeling unwell. They raise money to provide food & shelter for the dogs, they visit homes to ensure an animal will be well looked after in a home & are always there to support when needed. We thank all who are connected to Daybreaks-you make a difference in the world. I've not much to report about Marco yesterday because I swanned off to Crufts for the day! As each day passes he relaxes a little more. I highly recommend you meet Marco-he is lovely. Helen x

Bert
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I took Bert to the Mell Square roadshow yesterday. He was golden. He jumped straight in the back of the car. Had a bit of a look out of the window then lay down and went to sleep. Bert was such a good boy at the roadshow. This boy is used to kennel life all of sudden he is in Mell Square next to a carousel covered in lights playing music, a singer with his speakers up to full volume. Bert took it all in his stride. There were lots of people and young children that wanted to fuss him. Bert was so patient and an absolute star with everyone. There were a couple of spaniels in the square Bert had a look at them but did not seem phased. He was brilliant travelling back and was ready for a well deserved nap. Bert is fantastic grey and loves people. I'm hoping his forever home is just round the corner.

Pete
I’m Homed
We brought Pete home for fostering today, so far he's been very good with the cat and had a good sniff around everywhere. He's very friendly with our 2. It's his first time in a home so as you'd expect he's very excited and interested in everything but he doesn't seem nervous or phased by any of it. He's now settled on a bed in the lounge with the rest of us

Dingo has settled really well so far. He has been for a walk, had his tea, met the cats (who weren't too sure about him!) and is now crashed out on his bed snuggled up with his dolly. Looking forward to an adventure at Sutton Park tomorrow.

Rory
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Oh Rory, I'm sorry to hear that things didn't work out at your foster home - I have been busy this week and I thought tonight I wonder how my Rory is getting on. Still I bet it's nice to see Auntie Ruth and the girls again. I will have to try my best to come and visit you asap but only on the understanding that you don't give me your sad face like you did the last time I saw you as you made me feel sad and later when I thought of you the tissues made an appearance. Love you lots xxx

Good luck with finding your "proper" forever home, hope it with is ur sister but if that can't be then I hope you both get lovely homes where you can forget about the past, and that the past is a distant memory ! Be a good boy and do the soulful eye thing that you are so good at, who could resist xxxxxxxxxxx

Hey HorseyAnn, u and me both - don't stop visiting as it all of us that care that make it what it is xxx They will be both well loved and cared for until their "proper" forever homes come along, would be nice if that is together but knowing what I do, they will be lucky in their new homes even if it is apart, this would be a good result for both of them seeing as they may have died twice 🙁 Thank goodness for Daybeaks, all their past is well and truely behind them, only love and cuddles on the road forward - lets all give Belle and Boo some positive vibes and keep them warm and loved tonight xxxxxx
