Its a small world. Saw an old friend of mine today little blond Maxine with the 2 little girls. Was doing my usual greyhounds are brilliant thing when she said that there's a nice lady in her road with a lovely friendly greyhound called Twiggy. Ooooh says I, whats her name? What do you think she said? I said ooooh again but this tine much louder. Hope you are both well xx

Oh Rory, so glad that you have been fostered as when I saw you this afternoon you looked so sad and fed up. If I had got a handbag bigger enough I would have taken you home with me so that I could have given you cuddles all night long. Just be good and enjoy your break from the kennels and you never know you could end up with a permanent home very soon, fingers crossed. I look forward to seeing updates about you and will be so glad to see the rehomed sign very soon. Love you xxx

I would like to suggest a couple of names - derived from the studbook Coolavanny - Kuhlio or Kooga?

It's a short step between fostering & homing but for the sake of Daire & Annie (in particular) we need to be sure that we're not going to upset the dynamics and for the sake of Yeuna we've got to make sure she's not at risk (no matter how much we love her) of a jealous Annie. So far so good - she's already done a home check with us, is doing a roadshow on Sunday and she won't be returned to the kennels unless Annie really does decide to impose herself. We've previously had friends dogs stay for a week and Annie has been fine, and we've camped with friends dogs & Annie has been ok but never for longer than a week. It would be lovely to say we're keeping her and all the signs are good, we just need to be sure 🙂

So happy to see you've been fostered Rory!! I'm sure he loves staying with you Honeypen. I put forward the name Dash...because he's so dashingly handsome (and he'd probably dash around off the lead too if he got a chance). Hope his walk goes well x

For anyone that is looking for a greyhound, I'd just like to tell you a little bit about our week together & what a truly special dog she is. She never messed or destroyed anything in the house. She had love & affection to give in bucket loads. Although we never managed to get cat/dog relationship working (mainly due to hiding cat!), she was getting there. When we got her your arms would grow 1inch on each walk as she pulled so much, but in just a week she was walking to heel, unless we walked with other dogs or my daughter! She never begged for food or even attempted to steal any. She wanted to be as close to me as possible & be spoilt! She was really struggling with separation anxiety, so to help her I spent 4 days of really hard work trying to help her get over it. As a result, we built a very strong bond, but unfortunately this led to her thinking she was top dog. After being left for some time at home alone I got back & gave her lots of cuddles & fuss. My 2yr old then decided she wanted a cuddle from me. Jelly was not happy so growled then snapped at her. It also happened again this morning. It is totally my fault for not realising she wanted to be top dog & certenly not Jelly's. She would make a fantastic addition to a house that already has a dog or with someone that can be home with her 24/7. She would probably be fine with older children as long as from go she knows she's bottom of order! I can't begin to tell you how sad I am to let her go. It would just not be right for us as a family or Jelly. I do hope someone gives her the loving calm home she needs & deserves soon. X
