Yeuna (Sooty)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Yeuna went along with Annie to Melbick's today and did her first ever roadshow! Not sure, but think she might be the youngest to take part in one! She had lots of cuddles and some people took her photo! She did have a nibble at someone's bag of dog food, sniffed at lots of sausage rolls and attempted to eat someone's plant but all in all was very good lol. She's spent most of the afternoon sleeping - it's such hard work being busy! lol

Socks
I’m Homed
After playing ball with Socks each week I had been itching to get him out and about for a proper play. So Saturday I popped him in the car with Foxy and Jess and took him to Elmdon park. He was so happy and was taking in everything that was going on. We passed a few other dogs of all shapes and sizes but he behaved perfectly. He'd rather play with a ball any day. A family playing tennis were kind enough to put their game on hold so we could take Socks in and let him off lead for a run with his ball. He had a fantastic time, and just loved having the space to bounce around. It would be great for Socks if he went to family with children that would play and throw his ball for him. He is so loving and as you can see he gives you hugs and kisses your face! I adore this boy, but it would make my day to see a lovely blue 'reserved' sign on his profile. Can someone please give this gorgeous boy a forever home. You'll never look back. Good luck Socks. Xx

I feel that people sometimes do not understand the fact that all dogs are not always suited to all prospective homes [whether they are to be permanent or foster homes]. In my opinion where young children are involved their safety must come first.Although fostering can be very rewarding, it is sometimes a difficult thing to do and should not come at the expense of the home`s status quo. I completely agree with your comments and wish you all the best with Marco. I can only hope he will be as good for you as Zac was for us.( Zac is now in his new home and we miss him).

Honeypen, couldn't agree with you more and you make perfect sense. Although it was a shame to see Rory back at the kennels, there was no way you could risk the safety of either your children or your own established dogs - not fair on anyone involved. As you quite rightly say, your home just wasn't the right one for Rory - I know how awful we felt when we fostered Davey but had to return him after 4 days as he was becoming withdrawn and lethargic, our home environment wasn't right for him and he needed the company of other dogs - but just look at him now! Each Grey has their own personality and needs, it's a matter of matching them to the right home and at least now prospective owners will know about Rory's need for quiet and calm surroundings - and cuddles! Thanks for giving it a go, and all best wishes with Marco. x

I met sparkey twice & he is utterly adorable. The way he looks at you with his big, soft, gentle eyes shows me he will be great in a family home. He was gentle with my 3 year old son through his kennel bars &, if I weren't full at the inn, I would have snuck him out with us! Very gentle dog who I recommend to meet.

Hi Lady V. We're not too bad thanks. Jak was almost the first greyhound to get an ASBO this morning. He's been more lively out since being on the Yumove and he saw his first squirrells in months right outside Castle Bromwich Hall. Lets just say there won't be any guests late for breakfast today. Thinking of going on the human version Imove as the cold weathers agrivating my joint probs which is why havent been coming up the kennells. I know it's very selfish but if my knee gives out I won't be able to walk Jak. Great if it works but if I start chasing squirrells and cocking my leg i'll have to have a rethink. Lol
