    I’m Homed

After reading all the sad posts about the returnees I wanted to put some good news out there. We had booked a holiday before we had Robbie and the maximum dogs they would allow was two so Robbie would have had to stayed at home. But we decided to contact the lovely place in Devon we are going to and told them we had gained an addition to our family. They thought we had a done a REALLY good thing and have allowed Robbie to come with us at NO extra charge. So we are all now going away together, I hope there is little bit of luck left out there for the returnees this weekend!!

After a very bad night with Joe, and with such a busy day at the kennels, I couldn't get him to the vets until yesterday evening. They have given him a month's course of antibiotics to see if this helps..... His throat is still very swollen but his temperature has gone down and he is much brighter today 🙂

Sadly Sparky likes cats a little too much! Which means I will have to love him from afar.

It certainly was their lucky day today. I was also there today & saw them being, reluctantly, brought it & half an hour later they were in a foster home together. I do hope they settle well in their foster home & gel well with the other dogs in the home. I'm sending my best wishes to all involved in their care x

Dear Zoe & Steve, I'm so sorry that you had to return Jelly as I know from meeting you last week just how much you were enjoying her company. I also totally understand that Jelly is not the girl for you - safety first. Rest assured Jelly will be loved to bits at Daybreaks and is likely to be rehomed very soon. Thinking of you & Jelly xx Tracey

Oh Rory, so glad that you have been fostered as when I saw you this afternoon you looked so sad and fed up. If I had got a handbag bigger enough I would have taken you home with me so that I could have given you cuddles all night long. Just be good and enjoy your break from the kennels and you never know you could end up with a permanent home very soon, fingers crossed. I look forward to seeing updates about you and will be so glad to see the rehomed sign very soon. Love you xxx

I would like to suggest a couple of names - derived from the studbook Coolavanny - Kuhlio or Kooga?

It's a short step between fostering & homing but for the sake of Daire & Annie (in particular) we need to be sure that we're not going to upset the dynamics and for the sake of Yeuna we've got to make sure she's not at risk (no matter how much we love her) of a jealous Annie. So far so good - she's already done a home check with us, is doing a roadshow on Sunday and she won't be returned to the kennels unless Annie really does decide to impose herself. We've previously had friends dogs stay for a week and Annie has been fine, and we've camped with friends dogs & Annie has been ok but never for longer than a week. It would be lovely to say we're keeping her and all the signs are good, we just need to be sure 🙂
