We lost one of our chickens today. :(( I heard she wasn't very good yesterday and today when we came in she was really very poorly. Lucy and I took her to our vet and we let her go. God Bless little Ginger. Xxx Mikey was at the vets today too for his vaccination booster. What a good boy he was. He is absolutely no trouble in the car at all. Jumps in and sits straight down. You don't even know he is there. 🙂 Lucy took him in to see our vet. Again he was very well behaved and got a treat for being such a good boy. As he had missed his morning walk we took him for a short walk around by the vets. The sun was out and he enjoyed the change of scenery. 🙂 We both agreed that the family who offers him his forever home will have a wonderful friend and companion. Xxx Alan and Declan had a trip to the warehouse....all was going well until the van decided not to start when they were ready to come back! They thought they would have to wait to be rescued by the Green Flag people but Alan managed to get it going by wiggling a few wires!! Thankfully they arrived back safe and sound. :)) The roof was looked at this afternoon, they did a little patching up but basically we need a new one!!! :((( A big thank you to everyone for all your hard work today. Thanks to Alan and James for the supply of donuts! :)) We needed them! Xxx

I’d be happy to share with Cooper Auntie Jo, if mom would let me have the bird food. I didn’t pick anything else Auntie Kate, only the bird food, makes it harder that that mom said no! I did get my birthday cake, a pack of treats and Salmon and prawns for my dinner though. Yum yum! Xxx

It’s my birthday, I’m 7. Mom and TC took me to the place with all the lovely smells and the babbits yesterday. Mom said I could pick whatever I wanted. I sniffed everything until I found the perfect present. I refused to leave it. Then mom said ‘Florence, I’m not buying you a bag of exotic bird food!’ So disappointed…. Lubs you all. Xxx

Daybreaks Diary!

Thanks to everyone for their help today. The dogs had soggy morning walks, the heavens opened shortly after with torrential rain, thunder and lightening. The dogs certainly didn't appreciate it, thankfully this afternoon the sun came out and dry walks were achieved. As the lane was flooded it was a trip along the Coventry Road. Thanks to everyone who came in with bedding donations. Poor Joe's kennel roof was leaking again, we have a lovely man coming in tomorrow to do a repair until the whole roof can be replaced. Thanks so much to the company for coming in to try and sort the problem. There have been several temporary repairs done, but sadly with the torrential rain it doesn't seem to keep it dry. Ruth was in and is still in a great deal of discomfort, hopefully after a GP call they can try to get her sorted. They said to rest....obviously they don't know Ruth!!! As always, stay safe and well all. X

Daybreaks Diary!

It was a quite day for visitors but we had several volunteers so the dogs were not short of attention. :)) Rosie and Charlie cleaned everyone's teeth, some of them were not so keen:)) We also managed both morning and afternoon walks without getting wet. :)) I helped out with the walks this afternoon and had the pleasure of taking first Tiff and then Blossom. As it's aquirrel season there were lots of the furry friends around! Blossoms ears stood up as high as they possibly could! Shirley was walking Star...have to say they made a lovley looking couple! Xxx I cleaned the cupboard in the dogs kitchen, sadly it's got rather damp and the shelf had warped! Richard and Declan very kindly made a new one! Xxx Thanks so much to everyone for all your help help today. :))) Xxx Xxx

A big cuddle for cute little Jim tonight. Norman and Lynn took him for his first trip to the park this morning. :)). He had a great time, he was a little excited by all the new sights, sounds and smells and was quite strong on the lead. This was his first big adventure, so a lot to take in. :)) Xxx
