Poor Nora is getting frustrated now.... I had to put on a soft lampshade collar and neck brace yesterday as, despite every effort, she manages to get all her bandages off - she is like Houdini! Because of this, she is irritating the stitches and they are becoming sore. She had a settled night but is now becoming very grumpy with her lampshade on (which is understandable) and I think we will be off to the vets today to get some more antibiotics as she has finished them now.

Such a sad day that poor Spotty has ahead of her - she is off to the vets to have the majority of her teeth out as she was returned in a very sorry state. I am hoping the op goes well and I am sure she will feel a million times better once she is better. I love this girl - she just lays there wagging her tail in the kennel when you pass by and say hello. My heart is broken for her that she has to be in kennels after so many years in a home. Good luck Spotty for today xxxxx

Brought Dolly home, she had a good look round the garden, living room and kitchen, no panting or pacing she's so laid back she's horizontal literally, zonked out on her bed and no intention of moving off it lol.

Hi buddysmom. You have my sympathies, our little Grey, Emily, wakes us up every morning between 4.30 am and 6 am. We've tried everything with her, but no success. Even when we tried her sleeping upstairs with us, she still gets us up early, just sticks her nose in our faces rather than the Greyhound Chorus downstairs. We've eventually just had to accept that she's a very early riser, although interestingly, she does seem to become worse when it gets nearer to the clocks being changed. Ah, I remember the days when we just had Gent and used to have a lie-in on the weekends - yawn!!! Mand x

went for an hours walk yesterday afternoon, another 20minute walk in the evening. He went in the crate without a fuss, started whining at 5am but settled without me going down to him.

Our boy James has lost one of his front big teeth, I got home from work last night to find a tooth on the floor and blood on the rug. He has been such a brave boy and with the Vets advice he will be on antibiotics for a week with a visit to the vets next week. He had a few teeth out and a deep clean a few years ago but has anyone else experienced their dogs tooth just falling out like this?.

Thanks to Steve Evans for his very generous donation to help with Nora's care and his very kind comments. It is lovely to have such kind and caring owners - which just proves that not all racing greys are treated as many people perceive. I also want to say a big thank you to Robbie, my lovely Husband, who has taken it in turns with me sleeping downstairs to keep an eye on Nora - he is an absolute star too and I couldn't do the work I do at Daybreaks without his support. Love you Robbie!!!!!
