Davey has spent the day in the kitchen with is at the kennels and has been absolutely golden, no barking or trying to snatch any food, although the poor boy looked very put out when he didnt get any dinner tonight when the others were being fed, as he is again going home with Auntie Ruth. Love the picture of him looking at the small furry :)))

Sally is a lovely little girl, walks beautifully on the lead, is so friendly and loves a fuss and thankfully is starting to get her appetite back now, as she hasnt eaten all that much for the first couple of days here! xx

Robbie

I have great news! Robbie's foster parents have decided to adopt him..... this makes me soooo very happy! However, they already have a holiday booked and they can only take two dogs so they can't take him in addition to their greys. Therefore I am appealing for a foster home for him from Saturday 12th January through to 25th January. If you think you could help, I will pay for all of his food and anything he needs whilst he is being looked after. I just feel this would be better for him than spending this time back at the kennels. Unfortunately I am looking after my friends 3 greys at home in addition to my 6 due to a bereavement so I am unable to take him home with me 🙁

If only that photo was a video! We took Lola & Lena in the Just for Pets at the Swan not long after it opened.....we beat a hasty retreat once we realised how close to greyhound level the small furries were 😉 Hope Davey enjoyed his sleepover with the Boswell gang xxx

Arthurs still settling in well. He's very quiet when hubbys out, but I'm contantly plying him with treats lol. He's enjoying his walks with all the other dogs and he seems to love the lady dogs. We met a black labrador female who kept kissing him and rolling submissively in front of him. I think he's definitely a ladies man lol.

I adore the new photo of Davey meeting the small furry, bless him he looks fascinated! What a lucky boy going round Just for Pets, I can just see him loudly sniffing those treats, he certainly loves his food. I hope he was a good boy overnight after such a busy day. And - can't wait to hear the exciting Daybreaks news!!!!

So, here's the thing. Ruby-scoob is definitely not a greyhound! lazy? oh, no - she gets ants in her pants and just can't sit still - toys, sticks, old sandals are just not enough to keep her occupied, so scarves and hats and jumpers and socks and gardening gloves get pinched for a bit of variety. she unearthed a tennis ball on a recent walk, and now that she has de-furred it, it has become her best friend - she throws it for herself around the house, and loves to hold it in her mouth and make it pop in and out. she also loves to play with little Lola-lolly, who is a more reserved hound, but still a youngster and up for a bit of rough and tumble, unlike grumpy oldster Jamal, who just can't believe that he's been well and truly out-bounced by a young female upstart ...

Haven't updated in a while, as have had hands very full with 3 dogs - our 2 DB youngsters, Ruby and Lola, and our old boy Jamal. We've ended up having to separate Jamal from the girls at night - too many growls, nips and finally a nasty bite 🙁 - basically Lola's insecurity couldn't cope with Jamal's dodderiness when he gets up in the night and then can't decide which bed to lie down on and spends ten minutes just looming in the dark ... Jamal therefore gets royal sofa-dom at night and has quite settled into the new routine, and the two girls are perfectly happy with each other - very few growls now, although Lolly still prefers to lie in a corner with her back protected. Other than this blip in behaviour, Lola is a real sweetie - she loves her leans, cuddles and tummy rubs; she's learning to be less jealous because she always gets her turn at attention; and she's settling into a life being safe and loved. just got to crack listening when on walks, and getting more comfortable with car journeys ...
