Hope Davey is a good boy tonight, as it was my suggestion you take him home, mind you with 2 dinners in him (he had his usual one at the kennels) and treats he should sleep all night!

Davey

It was Davey's turn to come home with me tonight! I stopped at Just for Pets at the Swan Shopping Centre on the way home as I needed to buy another comfy collar to use for our post op dogs. He had an exciting time with the small furies and loved sniffing all the treats on offer and chose a few to take home! He has come home, had his treat and some dinner and has settled really well. He has no food aggression and seems to love the company. No barking so far (which is what lets him down at the kennels). I am hoping he has a settled night as we have had a very busy day at the kennels with 4 new volunteers and our big clear out has been continuing! We have some exciting news for Daybreaks which we will announce at the end of the week 🙂

Henry
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I took Henry home with me last night to see how he was in a home environment. He was a really good boy - had a couple of accidents but only to be expected. He slept all night downstairs with my greys and this morning ate his breakfast and toileted outside. He was fine being left for an hour as I had a doctors appointment and then he had the excitement of meeting some cats on the way in to the kennels on his cat test.... sadly he found them a little too interesting 🙁

shanesmum i know how sorry you were to bring back davey but he just loves to be amongst it and he does like to make you aware of his presence doesn,t he with his barking- i,m sure if anyone looks at this site they will be able to see from all the positive comments that he is a super lad- can,t wait until wednesday when i get my next barking installment

just to sat never worry about asking for advice- i,m always quizzing ruth and some of the other volunteers about my 3 beauties- we,ve all had the odd blip or two with our greys- it,s so nice to hear that arthur is settling back with you- all the best- keep positive

Carrie

I got my first Egg from the chickens today and I got so excited , that Carrie just reacted to my excitement and I have the SCRATCHES from those long legs all over my body to prove it , I wont be doing that again in a hurry , she was almost out of control , but totally my fault , the next eggs will be a very low key event !!!

Belle

Pleased to say that both Bess & Belle have now mastered the full art of using the dog flap properly. We was previously at the stage of hanging a tea towel over the flap (with flap taped up) which although still gave them freedom to toilet, could be a bit chilly. Hello to a warm clean house when I come home from work - Well done girls. Belle is now 'on heat' so watching the little minx very carefully. I've read into it on the internet, but if anybody has any tips or advice on when bitches are in season, I'm all ears. Thanks xx

Hiya, this is (one) of davy's old owners. He is a sweet dog and he loved fuss. He hates it when you dont :)) Sorry to hear about him not settling down but he will, he does get stressed easy. Thanks for all the cuddles too 🙂
