It must have been a very difficult decision, especially as he did seem very cat friendly when you tested him, but it was the right 1 for them. Thinking of them and their cat as well as poor Buster. xx A friend of ours took on a Grey (from a rescue). Been in the home 3 hours, had tea and she let him into the garden after with no muzzle on. He leapt up to drag the cat off of the shed roof and although he didn't kill it instantly it had to be PTS (RIP Lisa) They were obviously devastated 🙁 I am sure that someone will be along to give Buster a home very soon xx

Thanks Julie - much appreciated. I'd like to get Mia checked as she does seem prone to corns - our other greyhound, Evi, doesn't seem to have a problem at all. I really appreciate your taking the trouble to reply. Have a good new year!

oh poor buster never mind auntie ruth will sort you out- let me just say i have three greyhounds none of which are cat friendly and my cat lives quite happily upstairs and goes in and out through the bedroom window thumbing his nose at the dogs as he goes- i,ve found stair gates very useful for keeping them separate- my old greys were cat friendly but it took us about six months to achieve it- will give you cuddles on wednesday buster you are a lovely boy xx

Sadly Buster was showing interest in the cats who kept appearing and disappearing and the cats also became distressed by having a dog in the house. It was a difficult decision for Buster's owners who feel they have made the right decision and for this, we must support them.

Zac's dad is brother to Jak's dad Brett Lee. I've noticed quite a few greys re-homed with long noses and most of them were decendants of Brett Lee or from that Oz line. I guess Jak and Zac are cousins. If he has Jak's lovely gentle nature he will make somone very happy xxxx

Hi Cinders and Mia There's a vet called Daniel Doherty at Myvet24/7 in Uxbridge who specialises in treating greyhound corns if you're interested ... I'd guess you'd need a referral from your vet but that shouldn't be a problem 🙂 I've heard too that corns are caused by too much pressure in one place so it'd be worth having Mia checked over by a chiropractor (I use a McTImoney chiropractor) too .. again that's usually reclaimable on your insurance 🙂 Best wishes Julie 🙂

  • George (Stevie Sunshine)

    Over the Rainbow Bridge

Sadly George is no longer reserved and I am only able to keep fostering him until the 3rd of January. It would be such a shame if he had to go back to kennels as he really is doing so well here with us. He is getting a little more adventurous when it comes to food on the kitchen tops but responds well when you tell him no. George is a pleasure to walk and never pulls on the lead, he is just happy to trot along by your side. Out on a walk today he didn't react to a squirrel scrabbling up a fence next to us, nor a barking terrier. He is such a patient dog and didn't bat an eyelid when Minnie bounced his bum whilst she was lying down on the rug just now. Whoever adopts him in the end will be very lucky indeed. 🙂
