Such a sad situation, but Mick looks to be a gorgeous boy and I'm sure he will be snapped up very soon.

I collected Mick this morning from his owner, who is very upset at having to return him. We have been for a long walk around Arrow Valley, Mick walked lovely on the lead and was very interested in all around him, we are now home and he has met our little corgi cross with no problems, will introduce him to the cats when they wake up! He is a very handsome fella and will enhance the lives of whoever falls in love with him.

Just got home with Mo for first day of fostering... She's having a sniff round and seems ok so far with the cat. She's a very gentle and quiet girl and seems reassured by a good fuss. Also went straight outside to go to the toilet which is good news! (It's frowned upon in the living room)

The fireworks have started where we live And our poor James has gone into panic Mode, he has never got used to them but he Finds it best to stay in the lounge by the fire. Our Rosé and Tom don't bother about fireworks At all and James looks to Rose to look after him As he hops on her bed to sit with her.

    I’m Homed

So happy for the gorgeous Roxy, she's gone to a home with a greyhound companion so here's hoping that all goes well for them and they settle with each other. Looks good though, as they had a short walk together and were fine in the run. It's just what this fabulous girl needs, a close doggy friend for her to look up to. Sending best wishes to everyone. xxx

  • Katie

    I’m Homed

Katie came training again today (couldn't bring Cornelia too as I only had one helper with me today!) She was brilliant, she had a little sniff of Frankie as if to say 'oh hello again', tried to play with her walking back to the car, jumped in the boot no probs this time, and travelled beautifully. At training we didn't hear a peep out of her, even though there were other greys there having a bit of a stress and a bark. She did everything I asked of her, we practiced approaching a very scary stuffed dog and she did this with perfect manners - so proud of her! Then we played a game where she had to find the treats under some pots - she quite liked that game! My 11 year old daughter Lauren came with me to handle Frankie, and Katie absolutely LOVES Lauren - resting her head on her shoulder and tucking her head under her arm - it was lovely to see! After training finished and the next group was starting, Katie politely said hello to Millie the lurcher and stood next to her for a bit. Katie seems to need lots of reassurance, whether it's from a human, her kennel mate Cornelia, or her new friend Frankie, but it won't take her long to realise all these new things she's experiencing for the very first time aren't so scary. I'm in Oxford the next 2 weekends, so if anybody can take her to training in the meantime then please contact Ruth. I will continue to take her as and when I can - she's an absolute darling and I really look forward to fussing, erm, I mean working with her! Em x
