I met Jet at the show yesterday. He was so calm and unfazed by all that was going on around him, and very handsome. As he looks similar to the Wiz I considered swapping, hoping no one would notice! Just for a second, would never do that to you Wiz, honest! xxx

Hi All, Just to keep you updated. Gemma is settling in nicely with her new Dad and Mum. She has met their 2 daughters and granddaughter - we love her already. Must send a picture to our brother and his boys as they have a greyhound too. Thanks for all the comments. I will keep you in touch. Anna

We looked after Derry for the day at the Perry Barr fun day, he was brilliant throughout. He was extremely well behaved, quiet, calm and VERY affectionate! Derry will make a wonderful addition to any family.

Had lily may for the dog show and she is such a lovely dog and whoever ends up with her will be lucky. Also very proud of her eventually winning a rosette for best black bitch.

I met you today and you are a lovely dog.u will make someone an amazing pet,u weren't afraid of my children (aged 5 and 2) and the pushchair wasn't scary.she didn't try to go for any of the dogs, she seemed more scared of the little dogs and was clinging to her handlers legs, she just needs love and time to gain confidence x

By the way, his photo doesn't do him justice. Buster has a coat like velvet. He is exceptionally handsome.

I still think Derry is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever met. He's so laid back, it was lovely to see him so much at ease today, considering what he was like when we first fostered him.

    I’m Homed

I was a little worried when we brought home the beautiful Roxy for fostering (who incidentally has the most amazing ridge of hair from between her ears down to the nape of her neck, just like a Rhodesian Ridgeback) as she has been seperated from her life long friend Motte. However, she appears to have settled into our home really well. She is in fact an absolute treasure and I feel it won't be long before she is adopted and she has a happy ending to her story.

I agree with everything Louisa has said, and I think this lovely little girl will blossom when she gets out of the kennel environment.

So, I am torn. I have enjoyed my day with Buster at the Annual Fun Day and he is truly fantastic. However, I am not sure I want to say how lovely he is because I want to take him home with me. I'm having some difficulty persuading my husband that we need another greyhound and so I am reluctantly going to sing his praises - but give me a few days and he could be mine... (husband, are you reading this?!) Buster has bags of confidence. Nothing phased him today, he was delighted to meet any and everyone and loved my children (8 and 6) who launched themselves on him as soon as they met him. He is not shy, and happily nuzzled his way into any group gathering at the Fun Day. He loves other greys and is comfortable around other breeds. He was a little interested in small terriers at the beginning of the day, but as time went by he became less and less keen, and I think the more he sees of them, the less he will take notice. He's a tremendously happy chap, with real character. Lively and extremely affectionate, he was delighted to meet everyone, young or old. I can't speak more highly of this lovely boy. And the couple who took the photograph of him today, do come and meet him again, he is truly special.
