Pippa
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Pippa is fantastic! She is totally housetrained, can be left with my greys and doesn't stress and is very settled at night. She is a little nervous of new people but soon gains confidence. She has a good appetite but isn't greedy and eats well with mine around her. She is great with other breeds and doesn't pull on the lead - she is a treasure and I will keep taking her home until she finds someone who will fall in love with her and offer her a forever home.

This is another little girl that I know will blossom once she gets into a home environment. (My instints have never let me down.)She has a very characterful face and is quiet and well behaved once she is out of her kennel [see Louisa`s comments below]

Roxy
I’m Homed
Roxy is a very clever little girl and will communicate her needs (almost talking sometimes) .This morning she only ate half her breakfast then came to me squeeked and yawed, having gained my attention she trotted to the back door, turned looked at me and the stood quietly waiting. I took her out, and of course she duly had a quick sniff for the right spot, I then needed a large poo! bag. When she got back indoors she carried on with her breakfast. This little girl is a delight to share our home with and became part of the family almost within hours of her arrival,{my father-in-law adores her}.She has slept through both nights with no disturbance, also [like Dale did] she lays in her basket when nothing exciting is going on.All in all Roxy is a very well behaved intelligent little girl who deserves to be understood and given a kind and loving home.

Roxy
I’m Homed
Hello My name is sally and I was Roxys previous owner -- I am so so so sad to read that roxy has been so stressed -- The decision I made to rehome her was the hardest of my life - I love her and will for the rest of my life. Things have happened in my life that I never ever wanted and I know that what I have done is for the best for roxy -- I hope that very very soon she is settled and loved as we loved her. xxxxxx

Motte
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi rosierecorder This is a very hard message for me to write - people have lots of different views here, which i understand... My name is Sally and I was Mottee's previous owner. I am soo sooo very pleased to see he is now placed in his foster home. The decision I made was the hardest in my life but for mottee I know it was the right one... I would really really love to have some photos and know how he has settled - would this be ok?? Thank you and please give him a massive hug and lots of kisses for me -- if you rub his ear he groans - but only one groan a day!! lots of love sally xxx

Roxy
I’m Homed
We have just spent a second good night with the lovely Roxy. As you would expect from a little girl that's used to a home environment, she is absolutely no trouble whatsoever. Clean, a dab hand at the stairs, she is just a little jumpy at odd noises still - such as the trains whizzing past outside! Obviously she knows her name and is very obedient when told something, and so affectionate and happy to see you. She has started to play with the toys too, and loves the squeaky bone. Understandably, she's still in need of the company and reassurance of another presence near her while she gets used to the new situation she finds herself in, but I'm sure we can destress her and build her self confidence again, and she'll make a fabulous companion. xx

Ruby
I’m Homed
Ruby's just started growing up a bit - over the last few weeks we've noticed that she listens a bit more which bodes well for letting her have a bit of a run in future. she makes friends with other dogs, would love to chase squirrels, and is so very very good with the cats (she walks on tiptoe to try and get close), just can't understand why they don't want to play! Having had a couple of months to perfect her duvet de-stuffing technique, loving the way I enabled her play by re-stuffing it every day ... she's been thwarted by a new bed I've made from a cut-down futon - much more sturdy, and so far Ruby-proof ... and much loved by both Jamal and Ruby. started to think we could cope with another - a bit of a harem for Jamal ...?

ooh, she looks lovely! wasn't immediately thinking of expanding our greyhound family, but she might be able to persuade us, now that Ruby's settled in well. I think there's a visit on the cards this weekend, if not before! 😉

Baxter (Buster)
Over the Rainbow Bridge
I was one of Buster's nudgees! I totally agree with your comments, he didn't seem phased at all by the surroundings and was quite happy to have a fuss off anyone willing to provide it. Buster and Derry were my favourites of the dogs we met yesterday 🙂 Those 2 just stood out for me and will make someone a lovely companion. Just a pitty i cannot come looking until xmas when i have time off work.

Jim what a lucky boy you are first to be found by Daybreaks and then you get yourself a lovely family with lots of doggie friends including a girl friend or as your new mum put it they are like Mr and Mrs. Jim looked fabulous in the ring and made it to the champions ring what a brilliant story.Looking at his pictures when he came into Daybreaks and seeing him yesterday it is hard to believe he is the same dog. Thats what Daybreaks is all about and yesterday hopefully lots of money was raised by people who appreciate all the hard work the RGT ,Ruth and her team of volunteers put in to enable these dogs to have a safe and secure future.x

I’m Homed
My gorgeous girl missed the dog show yesterday as she was at the vets on a drip! She had a really bad upset stomach with profuse vomiting on Saturday and was at the emergency vets early next morning. We brought her home this morning and she has seen our vet - who has given her more antibiotics and something to calm her stomach. She's had a small amount of chicken and rice and is zonked on the bed - it seems she has a tummy bug but I can't help being very worried about her. If anyone has any tips on getting her back on form and eating and drinking let me know!
