Fearne looks sooooo beautiful in that second / newer picture. I remember reading her story when she first arrived and that first picture showed a vulnerable, anxious dog. You have obviously done wonders with her already :O)

Day 2 Marnie's second day has gone really well. Mandy worked with her over night, and eventually managed to leave Marnie on her own in the kitchen, with the door shut and no one with her, without her stressing. We are so proud of what she has achieved in such a short time. She is adapting really well to her new environment. She is using outside to toilet and has been on a different walk each day to make each one interesting for her.

Jack

Hopefully he will get on with our two Golden's tomorrow so we can offer him a foster home for the duration of the kennels being closed. =) (Maybe longer if I can swindle my mum into it!)

Jack
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Jack regularly attends training on a Saturday morning and his dad must be devastated at returning him. This boy is just truely gorgeous and would fit any household. He is sensitive, laid back and chilled. He can be left and is fully house trained. He gets on with other dogs but does prefer the ladies! He is good with other dogs, gets on with children of all ages and tolerates his neighbours big black cat. He responds to commands and is one of those rare greyhounds that can sit on command. He just loves fuss and attention and is lovely big black cuddly boy. He will make a great addition to someones home whether you are first time grey owner or have a house full of them. His neighbour little Millies(in the picture) mum describes him as bomb proof and he is going to make a perfect addition to a very lucky family. If only I could persuade my husband to have another dog he would be curled up right now on my sofa!

So so tempted to bring this beautiful girl home, though not sure we're the right home for her. If she were to be restless when we go out I don't think the others (especially Magic and Mick) would take too kindly to it. There are times she'd have to be left for 7 or 8 hours (1 week in three). This is such a tough one 🙁 xxxx

Billy
I’m Homed
I was heartbroken dropping Billy off at kennels today. We wont be adopting him afterall, as he just couldn't cope with Heather being upset. He is a wonderful boy with lots of love to give and will be a super mate. He doesn't pull on his lead, eats well, understands a few basic commands and is still learning how to live in a home (worktops are not for resting your nose on and grills are hot & best avoided). I wish it could have worked out better for us but its just not to be this time....sob 🙁

Jack is being returned tomorrow due to a change in circumstances for his owner. As he is used to home life, we are anxious to find him a foster home as soon as possible, especially with the kennels closing for 10 days due to maintenance from this Friday (8th). If you think you can help, or offer Jack a home, please give me a call! Ruth 0121 782 7702.

Marnie's first day went really well, she toileted outside, no accidents in the house. On her first walk up Hednesford hills she stood gobsmacked at the heath (all that space), and passed the small dog test with flying colours, we even stopped and chatted to the owner for a few minutes. Night time will be the real test, she cried every time we left her and Neil ended up sleeping on a chair in the kitchen! But we are determined to let her settle and will slowly over the next few nights be around slightly less each time until she feels safe in her new environment. We all love her to bits, she is so funny chucking her new pet duck around. Thanks to Ruth, and all at Daybreaks, we will keep in touch xx

It would have been great for Bertie to have meet her, but I am sure for the last 10 month of her life she could not have been in a better place than with you.

This little girl is one lucky little girl! I had the pleasure of doing her home check today as there were plenty of volunteers to cover the kennels for me and it meant she could go to her new home. Her new family are lovely and I just hope she is a really good girl for them x
