Well the sad day has arrived its exactly 12 mths to the day that we made the decision to have Mindy PTS as the tumour had got so large and was causing her pain. Although we only had her for 10 mths she will live in our hearts for ever, but we do have her daughter Flossie (Flojo). Icemaid Mindy's plaque will up at the kennels today in memory of her. Silly Billy has pulled a muscle, we think, when he jumped over the bike and landed awkwardly (bike a bottom of stairs......dont ask!). Anyway big thanks to Ruth for the magnatherapy & reassurance and Paul of LindaPaul for feeling out the rough bit of muscle to work on. Billy is not limping so much this evening, wishful thinking maybe but I beleive he is better already. Oh and Blossom bared her teeth at him tonight cos she had the new toy & Billy was eyeing it up...the joys! (She hasn't done that before - interesting body language...I'm always learning).

Beautiful girl...tall though! I put my hand against the bars just above her head and she leapt up so that my fingers were almost level with paws! (I'm only 11 though).

Couldn't agree more Jeff - at the end of the day it's quite simple really, if you're not prepared to put in the time & effort required then don't take the dog. my advice - please stick with it, the first few nights home our beautiful boy Shane chewed his way through the surround & scratched the door to try to get to us - but with time & patience we got over it and had 4 years of love, fun & a brilliant companion before we lost him last year. I sometimes feel people view rehoming with rose-tinted glasses "look what a good thing I've done" without fully appreciating all that's required. But rest assured - it is so worth it.

Great big Honey munching kiss to our beautiful Princess Honey who is 6 years old today. Love your quirky ways, I now get up between 4.45 am and 5.30 am (OK not always willingly), you run and hide when I get the lead out to take you a walk - the car is a far more preferable option! You pinch shoes and slipper and take them to your bed (always in pairs) and your latest "trick" you have to take the fold up brolly (that I now carry even on sunny days) just so you can take it out of my bag when I get home from work. Happy birthday Honey bun love you loads and loads. I'll give you a kiss when you get up after your morning nap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
