Betty has the same Dad as Daire and if she has the same temperament and personality she will make a fantastic loving pet for a very lucky person! Good luck Betty - you're just as gorgeous as Daire (but I am biased!)

Nylabones are very very durable and long lasting..... Foxy still has his 6 years on! If you want me to get some from the warehouse, just let me know or they should be available from most pet shops.

poor baby boy, try baby or small kids socks taped round his foot to keep bandages clean, if its wet you can slip a small plastic bag over the sock before you tape it round his ankle....get better soon Reubes...lots of love. xxxx

Oh no, now my poor darling has torn a nail out of his back paw.........daughter tripped over him in the dark on my bedroom.......blood everywhere and he is very tender. Thankfully he is still on antibiotics for his tail & nail came clean out so no panicky vet visit on Boxing Day morning. Just need to find him good paw cover to keep bandages clean when he toilets - all recommendations welcome.

As Bob has been used to a home, the lovely Ray took him home the day he was returned so he wouldn't be in a kennel over Christmas. He is being really good and we hope he will find a home soon. It is so sad he has lost his new family through no fault of his own..... Massive thanks go to Kerry who is covering Daybreaks for me over Christmas - I am so grateful to her and all the volunteers who have come along also - for the first time in 5 years I have had Christmas at home which has been bliss! Very different to last year when I was sleeping in a kennel! Thank you to everyone who have brought presents in - for the dogs as well as our volunteers and also for the very generous donations which will help all the Perry Barr greys xxxxx It is only with everyone's support in different ways we can continue to do what we do 🙂

A cuddle from us and Star. You lived with our Star at your first home. It is really sad that it hasn't worked out, and we hope someone falls for you quickly. You are house and cat trained so that should help. We always wish we had more room etc xxxx

Just wanted to join everyone else in saying Merry Christmas to all the wonderful people we have met (and those yet to meet) since we have adopted our wonderful 'kids' Gent and Emily. We never would have guesssed how much they've changed our lives and we have made some wonderful friends too. Been in the kitchen this evening with my two 'helpers' making home-made cranberry sauce and Jamie Oliver's Get Ahead Gravy. Christmas....bring it on!!!!! Have a wonderful time everyone and here's to more good times and lovely re-homings for 2012. Love Mand,Stefano, Gent and Emily xxxxx

Gent was exactly the same having his dressing changed (he's such a wuss!), but we found it easier doing that with two people - one at the rear with the dressings and one at the front with the treat jar! Not a squeak out of him then! Once his tail healed we used to gently massage in E45 cream regularly during the day to make sure the scar didn't dry out and then split if he whacked his tail against something. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. Mand x
