this is very sad, but surely her grey friend who is still in the family home will fret and become distressed and miss her terribly now shes gone. Thats two upset dogs. couldnt they have been kept together, (would that have been kinder?) as a little twosome family unit? she looks such a sweet little thing. So pleased Daybreaks is there for cases like this and the very poorly little Dot transferred to you from the RSPCA, who was homed so quickly. You are all canine angels.

She reminds me so much of the state Pippa was in when she arrived. I am so glad we are able to help all the hounds possible, especially cases such as Dotty and Pippa - and despite it being hard work sometimes running the kennels, I know why my life changed to do work such as this......

Agnes
Over the Rainbow Bridge
Hi Jill, Agnes is settling really well, she's very quiet and gentle and finding the big wide world a curious place, but she's gaining in confidence every day which is lovely to see. We're being very quiet and gentle with her and she seems to trust us now and comes for some love and fuss more and more. We've been to the Sutton walk today and she found so many people a bit overwhelming but when I got the sausages out she soon perked up!! We'll be at Waseley next Sunday so if you can make it Zara can meet her mom! Berylxx

We decided not to do the sutton walk as we thought after making such good progress that we didn't want to push her to quickly into a busy occassion, so opted for a quieter walk, though we missed seeing everybody and all the beautiful greys. She is still doing really well xxxxx Each day she shows us a little more of her lovely character xxx

so very sad that a natural reaction to a big event like this is the cause of a dog being discarded, it shows just what a 'throw away' society we have become....i hope that she will find it in her heart to trust another human not to fail her again as for some of us adopting an animal really does mean 'for life'.....big hugs to a lovely girl. xxxx

I am on my way up to the kennels as Misty was returned this morning whilst I was at the Sutton Walk. She is apparently very underweight and very stressed so am going to take her home for a while until she feels a bit better 🙁 She was homed in October 2008, but since the family had a baby a short while ago, after being allowed the run of the house, she has been kept in the conservatory which has understandably stressed her. I hope their other greyhound does not stress without her.

I h ave two very poorly boys at the mmoment, poor little flymo is being sick and has a horrible upset tummy with blood... be carefull when out walking your hounds what they pick up. The vet seems to think he has sniffed or eaten something which has caused his infection :o( poor boys!! xxxxxc
