It will be great to see Paddy on the walk and I know from training this morning a few other people are looking forward to meeting you all as well especially Katies mum who nearly persuaded Katies daddy to go and look at Paddy in kennels.

poor dazza, i hope you find your new home soon, don't let why he has been returned put any new owners off, as with any dog it takes time and patience, and with his racing name he comes "highly recommed"! good luck dazza.xx ann and ellie-may.xx

  • Joey (Mr Grey Face!)

    I’m Homed

We have had Joey for 8 weeks now and what a great 8 weeks it has been! He has settled in really well and fits in with our routine perfectly. Still no accidents in the house and a very waggy tail when we get in from work or come down in the morning. He runs round and round our garden like a race track and then asks us to chase him! He is slowly putting weight on and looks less skinny than when we first reserved him all those weeks ago. He is doing really well at training - his recall is coming on leaps and bounds. Love Joey to bits and so glad we came to Daybreaks and adopted him. Now just waiting for hubby to OK greyhound number 2....!! xx

this saddens me so much as it is normal for dogs (any breed!) to have arguments when they try to settle in with a new mate, in fact two of mine had a huge spat after about 6 months of living together about something totally minor, no different from human siblings having a nasty fight with hair being pulled out and scratches and bites.....it is our responsibility as loving owner to make sure that they are muzzled initially and carefully monitored for quite a while after introducing a new dog into the home, and even after all that things like this can happen ( as in our case). in our case Rossi ended up having lots of stitches and feeling very sorry for himself but never once did it cross my mind to return my gorgeous McKenzie, made me more careful about leaving toys out tho'. hope Dazza finds a new home very soon, i gave him his dinner when he came back and he is as lovely and loving as ever....xxxxx

Maybe just not meant to be this time...but I wouldn't let it put people off rehoming him, the odd grumble or nip can be part of the settling in process, finding their place in the pack. I had to split Jack and Buddy up when a chase game got too physical and Buddy and Penny had a to-do over a toy, it sounded horrible but a nipped lip and a scratch was the outcome, nothing like how it sounded! The right home is out there for Dazza, I hope it doesn't put his old family off rehoming again in the future x
