It was great fun being at the kennels today. I got to help out making teas and coffees but most of all I got to spend some time sitting with you, to enable us to get to know each other a bit more. Nite nite my love

his little face melts my heart and a shy nervous dog is so rewarding to have, my Toby was terrified of people contact and having him and getting him to trust again has been the most amazing thing i have ever done, someone will be able to do this for Alfie and they will be very lucky indeed...can't wait to meet him xxxx

We will if we can get her cat friendly xxxx Other than the cat issue she has just slotted in really well xxxx and will just have to find a way to sort the car issue, but we can't afford to change the car just yet so will have to travel in 2 cars when we all want to go out together. My hubby adores her he couldn't say no, especially as she isn't keen on men,yet she goes looking for him for cuddles xxxxx

Alfie! It took me a while to gain his trust but i took baby steps with him and he soon showed his gentle nature. He loves corned beef, thats how i won him over :). Watching him progress from being shy to being able to take treats from my hand and letting me groom and clip his nails was amasing! he likes to lean on you (as you can tell by the photo, they are my legs) to feel safe and loves a nice gentle stroke behind the ear, he will stand there for hours. His a gorgeous looking boy aswell. His a little shy with the lead going over his head, but i make it out as if its not a big deal and his fine with it, he troots along next to you very nicely with a loose lead, i always walk in front when i go through doors etc as he doesnt like people behind him! i know he will make a fantastic pet, and can only get better with the help of the daybreak staff 🙂 if you need anythink just ask! xxxx

Still being a star, woke up and she had sneeked up on the bed in the night (without waking us) and looked really funny with her legs in the air xxxx Still occassional nervous when meeting people in the street etc but soon relaxes. She is very much a pet, and really loves her runs, its funny watching our lurcher try and keep up with 3 greys. 9 times out of 10 she ignores the cats, but occassionally is v v interested, but not aggressive, so we are working on it. xxxxx We adore her xxxx

Hiya hmmm as a big sister myself I'm with Sid LOL ... my grey is just 3 and very annoying ooppps I meant a delight to have around LOL She's very playful and eventually my lurcher just did a little snap at her .. and she sulked for hours- ever seen a greyhound's bottom lip tremble 🙂 but it was what she needed to understand that she can't go on and on and on. It sounds like Sid is doing the same - just nicely putting her in her place 🙂 so as long as she doesn't keep pestering him I'd just keep an eye on them but I would stop her if she does pester him. Yep I'd take all her toys up whilst you're not there .. I'm not saying my lurcher is miserable and a spoilsport but my Lucy loves flinging the squeaky ones about and is very annoying - and then I'd find Charlie had got them all in his bed and Lucy was looking bereft (again LOL) so if the toys aren't around they can't fall out over them. I'm sure you'll get there with the toileting especially when you can take her out for nice long walks. J x
