Dear Aunty Ruth, I was so sorry to see you upset when I left today so just wanted to let you know that Im absolutely fine. Ive met my new nan and grandad who think Im very cute (ofcourse) and Im now in my new home, curled up in the living room in my big, pink fluffy bed which I quite like 🙂 My new friend Copper seems to like his new bed lots too! Ive been on a walk around the field opposite my new home with my new mom which was full of lots of exciting smells and sights and my new dad will be taking me again before bed time. Mom said she'll keep you posted and says I seem to be settling in brilliantly, Ive even told her when I need the loo which mom says is really good 🙂 lots of licks and waggy tails, Ruby x oh PS.....mom said please feel free to visit or phone anytime 🙂 x

not that I am EVER emotional..... but I was in tears today when a home was offered to the most beautiful, gentle girl I had fallen for. If it wasn't for the fact that I already have 6 and also bring many of the kennel dogs home with me such as returnees or post ops, she would have become a permanent fixture here. However, I know the wonderful Beryl will be able to offer her a wonderful home - she just wants a comfy bed, and lots and lots of TLC which I know she will be guaranteed. Thank you Beryl xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    I’m Homed

I have brought Jet home with me tonight as I couldn't bear to leave her at the kennels after having had 3 years in a home. She was homed in November 2008 returned because she has been having toileting accidents in the house and aggression towards other dogs out on walks. On the way home, I took her to meet Kerry's cats and she was so very good with them. She is at present curled up and fast asleep at ours. She is such a small grey. I was told by the family returning her that they had recently lost their other grey. I guess her toileting could have been due to her upset at losing her greyhound friend.... who knows..... I hope she finds a home soon.

Hi the brownies, Tink has settled really well, its like she has always been here 🙂 Sid & Tink have had a couple of growls and barks over a toy and raw hide, so we have put them away for now and only getting them out when we are with them. She is real character though and gorgeous with it. She has been nibbling at Sid's neck, is this normal as didnt know whether she was going to bite him or kiss him? Suex

i'm new to this forum, what a gorgeous little girl - cant believe she's not got a home yet. i would love a greyhound however i have 2 naughty guinea pigs which live indoors (havent the heart to put them in a cage outside!) i imagine she'd not approve of! ...any advice?!...I realise the obvious response here, and i know i could keep them in one room / locked in their cage, however so scared of risk of them meeting... I love this little pup, met her the other day!

    I’m Homed

Happy 5th birthday yesterday Ruby (we were at Granny's for the weekend so no internet access until today.) Ruby was thoroughly spoilt yesterday by granny and human brother Ewan, and she made sure to share her treats with her greyhound sister Olive. When we arrived home this evening we took the girls straight out on their leads for a walk on the pavement after dark. Unfortunately only a couple of minutes from home a young lad on a bike came cycling downhill on the pavement behind us. He was going too fast, failed to see us and the dogs and hit Ruby despite the fact that she had a red flashing light on her collar. Fortunately it was a glancing blow and after the intital shock neither she nor the cyclist seemed too much the worse for wear. We will be keeping a close eye on her though - I think more liver sausage and cottage cheese cookies are in order!

Oh my goodness, this is my Sadie's litter sister! If this gorgeous girl is only half as perfect and loveable as my little girl then she will be a wonderful addition to any family. I shall have to pop up tomorrow with Sadie to say hello! xxx

Star is a lovely girl, no trouble at all, quiet and clean etc She is a bit nervous with the girls but is getting used to them. She loves walks and she wags her tail and has even jumped up James (my hubby) when he got the leads out. Has had a good run twice today, all 4 hounds together, it was wonderful to see and really lifted our spirits. All we need is for her to notice the cats less......have your fingers and paws crossed for us, because we love her to bits xxxxx (still going to have to solve the car problem....but will find a way xx May have to take Ruth up on the fund raising offer for a limo ! lol xxx) She is currently cuddling with our grey Sam xxxx
